Geeves was flanked by a younger woman holding a notepad and a senior engineer in a hard hat. “The audit looks promising, Mr Greeves,” Wren replied, her eyes already roaming about the environment. She saw the rows of shipping containers, cranes, and railway spurs leading right into the mouths of the warehouse. “I'm looking forward to seeing all we've got going on with our supply,” she said confidently. “Of course, of course. Right this way.” Greeves led them into the main warehouse. The space smelled of diesel, cool metal, concrete dust etcetera.

"Inside. Now." Brianna rubbed her wrist, her skin burning where he had touched her. She followed him, not because she wanted to, but because the look in his eyes promised consequences she wasn't ready to face. Inside, the warehouse wasn't abandoned. It was a hive. Rows of servers hummed in the back, cooling fans roaring. In the center, crates were being unpacked by men in tac-gear, not delivery uniforms. They were handling artwork. Statues. Gold bars. Weapons.

But his jaw was tense, and his fingers tapped absently on the armrest in a slow, rhythmic beat. Tap. Tap. Tap. Charlotte noticed. “You feel it too,” she said quietly. Julian nodded once. Something was wrong. They stepped into the warehouse at 7:32 a.m. A security guard blinked as they passed. “Ma’am—uh—this is a restricted floor—” “We own it,” Charlotte said, flashing her executive badge. “Keep walking.” The man hesitated, then stepped aside. Inside, the warehouse floor was active—forklifts moving crates, operators checking manifests, a handful of supervisors pretending not to notice the Lancaster trio cutting through the center aisle.

I force my eyes onto the map just as the secure phone on the wall blinks. Marrow. I hit the button immediately. The screen stays dark— Marrow never shows his face. Instead, a new map pops up on the table in glowing white lines. “Three warehouses,” Marrow’s voice says. It sounds robotic, filtered through a scrambler. “Same owners. Three different jobs.” The map fills in. One is on the northern docks, right by the water. One is inland, hidden as a recycling plant. The third is on the southern coast, sitting right out in the open.

, I respond, stepping into her office. "There is a major shipment coming in on Thursday, Dock E013,", She takes her glasses off and folds them in her hands. She sighs, "Problem is that Dock E013's storage renovation is running three days overtime, and containers seem to go... missing during events as such,". She holds her hands on her desk, "I need you to supervise the shipment. Report to me if any issues arise." Dock E013 is on the Eastern shores, on the other side of the country.

Citra, Jaiden, and Hawk finish about 30 minutes later, thanks to Hawk’s prep work. As soon as the last spell clicks into place, we start heading back. And then, it happens. A loud, vicious, angry howl rips through the warehouse. It’s the kind of sound that makes the hair on your arms stand up. The kind that rattles the bones. The kind that tells you someone just lost something they can’t get back. Zak and Brandon. And they’re about to burn this whole place to the ground.

The place looked deserted, but Adina knew that usually, it would have been full of workers. The White Rose pack owned the company that owned the warehouse facility, not that it was easy to trace the ownership to them. All employees, except for a few guards that were trusted, had been given the day off. They entered the area and headed straight to warehouse 5. Adina’s gut was filled with tension and unease as they pulled up on the south side. Colin leaned in and kissed her on top of her head. “I will be right outside,” he said, leaning back and looking into her eyes. She nodded, gave him a quick kiss, and stepped out of the car with Sean.

Emma panted, keeping the beam steady as she approached the warehouse. The doors were heavy, rusted, and partially jammed. She pushed with all her strength, finally forcing them open just enough to slip inside. The interior was dark, filled with towering crates and scattered debris. A faint hum—the node—echoed through the warehouse. She followed it, careful not to step into shadows lingering near the walls.

The red feed shimmered with static. Jaxon broke the kiss. “What is it?” Raven asked. He moved to the screen. “Zane just silenced one of our teams.” “Where?” “The Belgravia warehouse. The one from Talia’s story.” Raven’s blood turned to ice. Jaxon turned to her. “Suit up. We’re going in.” “But that was supposed to be dormant.” “Exactly,” he snapped. “Which means he’s either cleaning house... or preparing to move more product.” Raven grabbed her gear, her mind a storm.
