Chapter 10: Echoes of Destruction The rusted iron gates of the obsidian citadel loomed before them, a gaping maw in the desolate crimson landscape. Behind them, the monstrous creatures howled in frustration, their metallic claws scraping against the barren rock. Evie and Liam, hearts pounding in their chests, sprinted towards the gate, desperate for any semblance of refuge. With a resounding clang, the gate swung open, revealing a dark, cavernous entrance.
