"Caleb," I said quietly, showing him the final coordinates. "It looks like our neighbors just paid their first imperial tax." A deep chuckle rumbled from his chest. He stepped beside me, his broad shoulders radiating warmth. His icy-blue eyes scanned the information one final time before a slow, predatory smile spread across his face. "I'll have the vanguard operators prepare the armored transports immediately."

They were the prey. Before either of them could react, a figure stepped out of the shadows—tall, imposing, and cloaked in the black-and-red armor of the imperial elite guard. Yes Cami was still in school, she was still a grade away from graduating high school. “That is a great question. Empire was the name of my late Godmother; I owe her a lot so I named everything I own after her.” Chloe replied with a smile

He didn't reply but pulled her in for a kiss which strangely made her toes curled. "I know you're a badass agent, it's just the cavemen in me." He let her go and kept her still behind his back. She sighed exaggeratedly but then bite her lip as she was wanting to smile like an idiot when she felt that once in her life someone was trying to protect her. Yegor opened the door slowly, the lights were off. The only source of light was from the moonlight which shines through the big open windows. The drug lord was stepping to his right, and Karla the agent decided to sweep to the left. Until a few seconds later she was tugged harshly to his back.
