"They have to keep Pomy here for her treatment. I'll bring you tomorrow to meet her. Let me drop you home," she told him and meanwhile Yara arrived there with the credit card. She didn't have enough money to pay for the treatment of cat, therefore she had called her.

I pushed out my aura to all of them in a way to embrace them, to let them feel comfort after such an awful sight. I could feel their acceptance and adoration after this, allowing me to breathe a sigh of relief. Next was the ceremony for The Barrier Oath Bond. We used the same pedestal I stood on under the gazebo before the pack run. The 11 warriors taking the oath stood in a line in front of me and the rest of Silverclaw.

The valley is unusually quiet, as though everyone understands the significance of what is about to happen. This is the third day of our mating ceremony. Today, we take the warrior's coat according to tradition, and every warrior who serves under our reign will swear an oath to us as their Alpha and Luna. It is more than a ceremonial gesture; it is a public declaration that the warriors of both packs now answer to the same leaders and will defend the same territory.

Kyle Stanton misses our bonding ceremony. By the time the elder steps up for the third time to ask if we're still waiting, my phone buzzes. It's Kyle. He sounds exhausted and annoyed. "Naomi's having a severe separation anxiety attack. I need to stay with her. Serafina, just postpone the ceremony." I look out at the 218 clan members and the delegates from 12 neighboring packs. Then I take off my ceremonial crown. "No need to postpone it. The ceremony is canceled." Five hours later, Kyle rushes back into the empty hall, panicking at last. He thinks I'm just acting out. Later, he throws 100 make-up ceremonies to win me back. All he gets is an official notice from the Werewolf Council c

Although there were many people gathered, only a few were participating the last ceremony, which is greeting the guests, giving prize to the winners, and then participation of Alphas from different Packs. As the crowd assembled, Nox and I took our place at the front. My heart raced with all the attention on us. A hush fell over the gathering. Then, Nox spoke, "I want to express my thanks to all who have come to this celebration. It's a tradition that has been upheld for generations. Let's strengthen the ties between our Packs from various lands and have a day filled with joy." The festivities continued. Awards were given to the game champions, and the male werewolves honored their female mat

I replied casually. “The Rank Ceremony is held annually in this pack to award, promote and induct new warriors and other important members of the pack according to their service.” The corners of her lips curled upward. “Just like I’ll be promoted to Senior Council Member. Then I’ll finally have a say in making sure the pack’s rules are properly followed.” Was she really getting promoted? If she was, that could only mean trouble for me unless she’d changed. “Congratulations,” I said with a forced smile. “I understand what the event is about now.”

My warrior shifted back at the pack house steps and carried me straight into the Grand Hall. Ronan was standing at the ceremonial altar with Charlotte, their hands joined under the Moon Goddess's blessing. Charlotte saw the bloody figure my men dragged in and screamed. Ronan shoved her behind his back, growling fiercely at the guards. "What is going on? This is my Mating Ceremony. How could you let a rogue wolf barge in?" "Get them out. Lock them up." I'd taken a dozen silver blades from rogues and never cried.

It is an error for blood shed or any kind of harming of creatures here. I sighed at the irony of it. The centaurs seemed to think that there will be a great war as I entered the springs of Zadia, but here it has been strictly forbidden for creatures to be engaged in any form of violence. It is possible that no one knows what they are talking about.

"But he wins. This time." "This time?" She looked at her brother with ancient eyes in a child's face. "Every choice creates a different thread. I can see some of them. Not all. Never all." Her marks pulsed. "The ceremony needs to happen. It's important." Three days later, under the full moon, the pack gathered. Cassian stood before them in ceremonial robes that had been Derek's, his grandfather's, passed down through generations of Alphas. The words were ancient—promises of protection, leadership, sacrifice.
