“Okay. Tell me what’s happening tonight. Tell me what I need to do.” Proud, I begin to explain. “There are three main rites of passage for the induction ceremony. The first is the vow rite. One of the Elders will recite a short passage for you to repeat before the pyre. All you have to do is copy what they say. When that’s completed, you make a single walk around the fire. It symbolizes your journey through trial and strife. The second rite is the burning of your old memories and pack life. Usually, a shifter will cast something they received from their old pack into the fire, but in lieu of that, you can simply cast the dress you received at the temple. That’s been done before too.”

Angie deserves a special place among the wolves for all of her hard work. Kate finally makes her way to me. The Alpha had ended his speech about Morning and she turned around. I quickly went over to her as we were guided into the crowd to start the real ceremony apparently. The whole thing was surprisingly an interesting experience. And I was happy to get a breather from Rowena’s prying. The ceremony was very loud as usual. But Morning was the complete center of it. I just hung around her and let her get showered with the praise and attention that she deserved. But I was also interested when some of the young men of the pack had a wrestling competition. Each battle had two rounds, one in human form and one in wolf form.

Civilians ran for cover, warriors shifted mid-run, becoming wolves in seconds and the beautiful ceremony ground became a battlefield in heartbeats. From the northern tree line, wolves poured out. He walks into Oona's game room and takes a seat, all smiles. "I've been meaning to spend quality time with you, Pretty. But the pack is preparing for the annual mating ceremony which happens yearly for us. So, we're working harder on getting more warrior recruits to toughen security." He explains.
