Hudson was massive—broad-shouldered, with a man bun, but cut sides, tattoos, and a serious face. He nodded once, solemn and silent. He gave off a broody and dangerous vibe. “Hm, so I’m sitting with the upper crust of wolf society…” I muttered. “Yes, you are,” Lucas said with a wink. “Don’t listen to him,” Kate disagreed. “We’re all equals here.”

I don’t miss as Kyria’s face pales and a small wave of fear comes off of her at the mention of the two Beta warriors of their Pride, however, I will have to address that a little later as I ask my next question. “Why the need for dominant female warriors? From my understanding, all female WereCats are extremely good fighters no matter what their rank.”

A sick smirk graces his face and triumphant glint gleams in his beady eyes. Bastard “I Tomislav Oresic, Challenge the princess for the right to the crown!” All eyes turn to the hulking werecat that stands up amongst the crowd, a man who was sitting to the left of Maydor’s tent. The dude is huge, built like a werewolf with mean eyes and bulking muscles. A man I had never seen before - a werecat who was not a warrior but was built like a brick shit house and twice as intimidating.

"What if I want nothing but war and want to kill your Lord? What will you do?" Dimitri asked, a sinister smile making its way on his face. His smile made him look all the more evil and cunning and Cathal, for the first time after entering Hollis, did not feel afraid of him.

Swaying her hips towards Gorge, the others saw her from afar and vanished. "Well, I do always fancy a fight before enjoyment." Her thick long eyelashes batted her cheeks as she looked up at Zeidan who looked rough already, but still good-looking. "These werecats are known to be quite rogues, if I remember correctly, my father has waged war against them times without number for overstepping their boundaries." A speculative smile played on her beautiful lips. "It's a shame you Cats won't learn at all from your past experiences." Gorge cleared his throat before rising to his feet. "The Onyx is our heritage, we won't rest until we have it."

(Cara's POV) In my dream, I kneeled before a white-haired man, surrounded by a few people that I was sure I had never seen before, but strangely, they felt familiar. "Catalyn of the Red Blood Pack, you have proven yourself once more, and finally, we believe you have all the qualities to become one of our warriors, the first ever female to become a warrior," he said, his voice filled with pride. I rose to my feet, a wide smile on my face. The people applauded; they all had the same look of pride in their eyes.

I noted. ​"He did," Marcus confirmed. "He plays the ruthless mercenary, but he takes care of the men who bleed for him. It's a rare trait in a Warlord." ​Because she's not a Warlord, I thought, the phantom thread in my chest pulling taut. She's an Omega who knows what it feels like to be abandoned by her pack. ​"General Vesh!" I called out, my voice carrying over the clash of shields. ​The Warlord paused, turning the terrifying visor toward me. The entire yard fell silent. Two hundred Blackwood wolves and five hundred Legionnaires snapped to attention, waiting to see if their Alpha and their General were about to tear each other apart.
