And besides, I have my brother Ken, who is also a warrior and a leader just like her as you said, and I believe he is going to win with his hundreds of thousands of warriors and not just a handful of a few hundred warriors like the Reapers." He sneered mockingly.

I assured him. “Again, can’t wait.” He sarcastically said, but I could’ve sworn there was a glint of relief in his eyes. “Enough of this gushy talk, tell me, how do you feel?” “Normal.” “Ok, good start. Come smell me.” Max asked, sticking his neck up for me. I took a whiff, sandalwood, but this time I sneezed at the smell. “Perfect. You're cured for the time being. Now let me go find a way to get rid of these urges for the beast, but not the beast’s sister.” Max began walking out mumbling something along the lines of, “can’t live with um, especially when they don’t let you kill the one thing that could ruin our clan.”

Maddox puffed his chest and crossed his arms against it. “Show us you are worthy to become one of us, Catherine.” He said proudly, and I wanted to roll my eyes, but I kept my expression stoic as I met the warrior’s gaze in front of me. “Luna Catherine…” The warrior nodded his head and was about to position himself when I spoke, making him snap his head in my direction again. “My name is Catherine Montrell,” I emphasized my last name. “Call me, Lady Montrell, warrior.” He swallowed before a genuine smile tugged on his mouth, but it was gone in seconds. The fierceness in his eyes was gone as well, replaced by respect and fascination, giving me hope that he would not aim for the kill.

As the warrior seems to think about this, as I see Alpha Jasper step up and lean in close and whisper, “You aren’t really going to do that, are you?” “Do you doubt my mate, Jasper?” He chuckles, “No, Zachariah. Never! To doubt Luna Yasmine, I would be just as much a fool as the warrior pitching to fight her.” The warrior then looks over at me and says, “I would prefer to see what that female would be like in the bedroom flat on her back and how much pleasure she would give. However, the prospect of leading my own warriors is a good substitute. So let's fight, shall we?”

We stay like that for a good minute before he turns around to snarl at the trees. Between two oak trees, a pack of werecats yowls at us. Their bodies are entirely human except for the hair covering their skin and their faces of different cat species—some look like lions, while others resemble tigers or panthers. Their chests are bare, muscular, and hairy. But what they all have in common is the ready-to-kill expression. I brace myself, ready to summon flames. But unfortunately, they outnumber us. Victory seems hopeless, which is why I find it endearing that Blake appears unwilling to leave my side—he is standing so close I could touch him.

He's tall, broad-shouldered, filling out the simple training tunic in a way that speaks of coiled power. There's an intensity about him, a palpable aura of danger that sets him apart even from the other warriors. He isn't just confident; he's lethal. A wolf among wolves.

Cassian’s POV The air in the courtyard was thick with the scent of salt, wet fur, and the metallic tang of anticipation. Forty warriors, the absolute elite of the four primary packs, stood in perfect, silent formation. They were not armed with the heavy steel of traditional warfare.
