I think that cat’s overdue for a nap.” He said with a chuckle, glancing towards Lyra and motioning to the attacking animal. The wild cat flailed, its sharp teeth gnashing at his wrist, but he didn’t flinch. With a grunt, he swung the creature to the side with a force that sent it tumbling into the wet grass. The wild cat’s body flickered like a mirage for a moment, but it recovered quickly, spinning around and launching itself at the warrior once more, its body a blur of twisted motion.

(Cara's POV) In my dream, I kneeled before a white-haired man, surrounded by a few people that I was sure I had never seen before, but strangely, they felt familiar. "Catalyn of the Red Blood Pack, you have proven yourself once more, and finally, we believe you have all the qualities to become one of our warriors, the first ever female to become a warrior," he said, his voice filled with pride. I rose to my feet, a wide smile on my face. The people applauded; they all had the same look of pride in their eyes.

~ Cat I was happy that Owen was able and willing to protect me from Danny last night, but I didn’t want that for my future. The thought of that being a constant was irritating as hell. I didn’t want that for myself, the kids or poor Owen. This situation was already messed up enough.
