“He won’t put his sister in harm’s way.” Omen cleared his throat and Jake turned to look at him. “When I was recruited to the Warriors, I had to be sponsored by a permanent member of the club to prospect. It was the same for Weasel, Rebel, and Shadow. Are we going to stick to that or how are we going to recruit new prospects since we currently don’t have any?”

Our eyes met across the room. “Be safe,” I said through our mate bond. “You too. I love you.” “I love you too.” Then he was gone, leading warriors to the perimeter. I opened my omega senses and felt the enemy approaching. Three hundred wolves, maybe more. Their bonds were twisted, corrupted by their Alpha's madness. They radiated aggression and bloodlust. But our pack radiated unity. “Link now,” I commanded my omegas. We all opened our abilities simultaneously, connecting to our assigned warriors. I took the largest group, fifty warriors including Darius and linked them through pack bonds.

I asked softly as my fingers went instinctively up to touch the piece of jewelry around my neck. His eyes softened as he sighed. “You have chosen a different path by marking the Lycan King and can no longer be the Warrior Goddess that you were meant to become,” he stated plainly and I gasped. “What?! But I want to become that!” Shrugging, he growled, “It's too late. Warriors are mateless, and I know that your mother explained that to you.” Devastated beyond words I lowered my eyes to my shaking hands and clenched my teeth.
