I couldn’t hear what it was, but my mom immediately signaled for us all to leave the room. Just Victor was left behind in the meeting room, completely alone with his thoughts. As we all stepped out toward the doors, I hadn’t even realized it was evening already, probably because of how many hours we had spent locked in that corporate warfare. But the moment we got close to the parking slot, the heavy doors opened, and Arthur stepped out into the garage. The exact moment his eyes landed on my mom, he froze dead in his tracks. “Mary!” Arthur choked out. My mom froze instantly, her entire regal posture locking up.

Luna got startled by his sudden presence and she immediately turned her tablet away, "Just a casual video." she lied. Arthur raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Just a casual video, huh?" he repeated, not believing her for a second. He took a step closer, his eyes narrowing playfully. "Why are you hiding it from me, darlin'?" he asked softly, his voice laced with a teasing hint. "what? I am not." she said and tried to close the video. Arthur chuckled softly, enjoying her attempt to hide the video from him. He stepped closer, reaching out to grab the tablet from her hands.

“Anyone invisible in their own life. Anyone who found their way back to themselves and needed to see what that looks like on a wall.” I look at the sixth piece across the room. At the two figures in chosen proximity, looking at their own beginning. “Yes,” I say. “That is what it is about.” Adaeze nods. She goes to find James. ----- Arthur Mead arrives at seven thirty. He is in a dark suit. He looks at the sixth piece for a long time. Then he walks through the show in the order Sophie intended. He moves slowly. He reads the small cards beside each piece. He stops at the corner canvas in the main room for several minutes.

West is covered in blood that is mostly not his, and Violet is unscathed. "You think you're all that. I'll show you what real power is all about," Arthur states, snapping his fingers. His puppets rush at me with weapons, and I snort in amusement. With one sweep of my magic through the entire arena, the puppets vanish into thin air. "H--how is that possible?" He stutters. With a cry of rage, he casts a spell which fills the hall with thick fog. It's enough for me to figure out that he wants to take me down from behind.

Arthur swapped his expensive clothes for a plain t-shirt and a cap that obscured most of his face. He did not head north. Instead, he returned to the city center, specifically to a budget hotel located in a narrow alley not far from Claire’s campus. The room was stuffy and smelled of cigarettes, a far cry from the luxury he usually enjoyed. But to Arthur, it was the perfect hiding spot. "You think you have won, Julian?" Arthur muttered as he locked the hotel room door. He pulled out a large bag containing sophisticated camera equipment with an exceptionally long telephoto lens. Arthur sat on a rickety wooden chair, staring out a small window that looked directly toward the campus side gate.

She tried them out and saw that she had a good view of Beckah’s house despite the distance. “You’ve got all the gear,” Arthur commented with a grin. “We look like we actually work for a secret organisation rather than being an heiress with a vengeance and a computer programmer.” Clara smiled and watched the lights in the house turn on. She looked at Arthur and he nodded. He adjusted the light controls so every light in the house started to flicker. “Now for the television screens,” Arthur said and lined up another message for broadcast. “I’ll turn the showers on as well.”

As I approached the end of the hall, I peeked around the corner. Nothing appeared out of order. The door was still locked and closed, the TV was off and stayed mounted on the wall, and all the furniture still stood in place. Even Arthur remained on the couch, fast asleep. I was about to search the kitchen when the screaming started again from the living room. “No! Please, no!” I turned around to see Arthur thrashing against some invisible foe. His arms flailed; his legs kicked. His face scrunched, tears staining his cheeks.

I wrap my arms around his waist and steal a glance over my shoulder, biting back a gasp as books lift off the ground and his shadows dance in the shape of… wolves. “Aris?” A roar rips from the darkness. I can’t choke back the scream of alarm that escapes my throat, especially when Aris whirls around, shoves me into the shadows, and disappears in a gust of silver smoke. He’s completely invisible. A shadow. And then… the battle ensues. *** “You need to explain why,” Aris snarls, his hands braced on Arthur’s cluttered desk, “why the fuck you had a hellhound hidden in the archives!”

In Ha watched him skillfully inject and put the IV in Arthur's hand. "Hmm." Adam stood up and looked at In Ha from head to toe. "You're an artist, right?" Akh! In Ha forgot to use her disguise! Because with or without makeup, her face didn't have that much different. In Ha laughed awkwardly. "Yes. Well ..." She explained how Arthur could be at her house and insists they are neighbors who just get acquainted. Adam looked at Arthur whose expression had begun to relax. "This idiot. He must have been drinking so much, long before that he passed out."

Lumiére muttered, attempting to clarify his intentions. Arin couldn't help but snort in disbelief at Lumiére's claim. "I love how you think you're invisible," he spat sarcastically, his tone laced with skepticism. Lumiére, undeterred by Arin's skepticism, met his gaze with a determined expression. He arched an eyebrow and retorted, "... I actually possess the ability to become invisible. Remember? It's one of my special abilities." Arin let out a weary sigh, his hand raking through his hair in frustration. Lumiére could see the exhaustion etched on Arin's face, clear evidence of his inner turmoil.
