This book told the story of the amazing daughter that we had and what her journey might entail as she pursued her dreams. I couldn’t wait to see what she thought about it. We let the author have free reign over the story for the most part, and she promised that it would be her best work yet. We already read the manuscript and definitely agreed with her.

I could feel a strange energy emanating from her, as if she was tapping into a deep well of power within herself. As I watched in awe, Ava raised her hands, and a blast of energy shot out, striking Jeff's soldiers with incredible force. They flew backward, stunned and disoriented, giving us a much-needed reprieve. I was tempted to follow Ava's lead and use my own powers, but I hesitated.
