Death by Allergy: My Family's Meltdown Came Too Late

Death by Allergy: My Family's Meltdown Came Too Late

"Mom, I swear his death was an accident! None of us wanted this! He's gone—there's no need to throw ourselves in jail! Who's going to take care of you if I'm gone?" "Mom, Michael's the only son you have," Mom chimed in. "Can you bear to see him go to jail?" "Grandma, Flynn isn't your only grandson. I'm your grandson, too!" Felix cried out. "You can't favor just one of us!" Faced with their tearful pleas, Grandma finally relaxed her grip on the phone. She looked at Dad with a tired, defeated expression. "Tell me—what do you plan to do?" "We'll secretly bury him and tell everyone he died from an illness," Dad replied.

Married to the God of Death

Married to the God of Death

She planned to read some books she picked out of Fran’s study. “Your highness, have you not yet made up with the lord?” Rheie asked quietly. “Why should we make up? We did not even have a disagreement.” Ali picked up an ancient book on history of the gods. “Is that so? But you have not spoken a word to the master for days now.”

Even After Death

Even After Death

I'm coming to keep you company right now. It was very dark at the bottom of the ocean. She must be terrified. He couldn't imagine how painful it must have been for her when the water rushed into her lungs. She chose to leave this way, so he would go the same way to keep her company. He thought, "Liv, I told you. Even in death, I won't let you go. Let us die together, alright? With me around, you wouldn't have to be scared of the dark anymore." The ocean breeze blew toward him, bringing with it a hazy mist. The surface of the sea was fogged over, just like his chaotic life. He had already lost direction.

Congratulations author! Such a nice plot of a novel about a woman’s saga on the romantic- love-hate realm. I cried a bucket for Olivia at the beginning of the story, but I admire the true love of Ethan for her at the later part. In this time and age, would there be such kind of love?

Dying in Three, Two, One

Dying in Three, Two, One

I could hear my heart racing after saying the words I'd kept to myself since learning that I was about to die. I thought I could be unaffected by my imminent death, yet I suddenly wanted to see more of the world. Gary didn't say anything. It was so quiet that I could hear my own breathing. Just as I thought he wasn't going to say anything, he finally spoke. His words made my heart descend into an abyss, though.

When Apologies Die

When Apologies Die

"And this diary records, in crystal clarity, how many times she cried in secret because of your unconditional favoritism toward Bella. "How many times she felt wronged and hopeless after you demanded she be the understanding one and give way to her sister!" The living room fell into a deathly silence. My father’s hands trembled as he picked up the diary. My mother and brother leaned in as well. Page after page turned. Their expressions shifted from anger to shock to panic. The details they had ignored. The small incidents they had dismissed so easily. Each one pierced their hearts like needles. The truth lay bare before them, leaving no room for self-deception.

The Debt Was Fake, But My Death Was Real

The Debt Was Fake, But My Death Was Real

I thought one more risk could buy us a new beginning. So I swallowed the drug. Five hours later, they gave me a prepaid debit card and sent me home. By the time I reached our basement apartment in Queens, pain was spreading through my lower back, and my mouth tasted like rust. I stopped outside the door, heard enough from Adrian’s phone call to understand everything, then covered my mouth as blood surged up my throat. My parents were alive. Liz was alive. The debt was fake. And the past five years had only been a punishment.

The Perfect Death

The Perfect Death

After catching my supposedly frigid wife, Emmy Winslow, aroused by our household robot butler, I swallowed my disgust and sent the machine to a destruction facility. I never expected that decision to cost her life. On the way to chase after the robot, Emmy was involved in a horrific car accident and died at the scene. From that day on, I became notorious in our social circle as the jealous husband who drove his wife to her death. Five years passed. Night after night, I tortured myself by wondering if she would still be alive had I not been so petty over a machine. Until today, while discussing business at a private club, I passed a half-open VIP suite and heard one of Emmy's closest frie

Dead on Day One

Dead on Day One

To help her childhood sweetheart, David Middleton, take my place studying abroad, my wife, Sharon Griffin, destroys my records and deliberately fills in false information, ensuring that I'm permanently denied a visa. She even severely injured my hands before sending me to the Behavioral Reform Center. My mother-in-law, Paula Brown, who has always treated me with affection, takes Sharon's side. "Kyle is so ungrateful. We gave him everything, and he still wanted to get a PhD abroad to find his biological parents. Who's going to take care of me if he's gone?" Sharon snorts. "He's just vain. When he found out I'd turned down Westbridge's offer of admission, he gave me the silent treatment an
