We Need More Power Romane & Geschichten

Words aren’t enough anymore. This time, I need more than threats.

We need to figure out a way to get these things off our wrist before it drains our power completely. I glance down at the bracelet around my wrist, its dull glow mocking me. “Draining our power? For what?” ‘I don’t know, but it can’t be good. Jack, we have to find a way to get these things off. And we have to figure out how to communicate with the others. If we can organize, we can fight back.’

I glanced at all of them, “We need to go bigger.” Reina folded her arms, leaning against the truck. “Bigger means more people, more security, more firepower.” Isaac let out a low whistle. “And more money. Like, a shit-ton of money.” “We need backers,” Jace added. “The kind with deep pockets and no questions.” Lena, who had been quiet up until now, smirked as she adjusted the strap of her rifle. “Or… we could just take what we need. You’re the best there is, boss—hack it, take it, make it disappear.”

elder Joshua said. Another elder spoke up, "I think she should be studied. If she's as powerful as they say then we want to know why. See if we can harvest this power for the betterment of the pack, I think it would be much better, it would give us more power” some of the others agreed with hums.

I asked, eager to get a solution. “Sir, we need money. We need lots of it to buy a totally new set of drugs that are stronger and more powerful to combat the plague. We also need brand new equipment and machines to treat the sick soldiers.” I remained silent for a minute, thinking about it. “That shouldn't be a problem. Why didn't you tell me about this when you found out? Don't you know how important this is to me and the pack?” I scolded her in my harshest voice.

I didn’t rush. I built. “Power,” I began, “is not measured by what we have today.” A pause. “But by what we can sustain tomorrow.”

My voice was more gentle, as I looked at him, pleading with my eyes for him to understand. "I can't do any of this without you by my side. I have a power I can barely control, I have become something I barely understand. What if they bring the fight to us while you're gone? What if something happens to you?" "You're right. I'm sorry." I placed my palm on Aiden's cheek as he rested his forehead against my own. "We need to figure out a way for the pack members to come into their power. We know mating triggers it, but there must be another way."

The more lives he takes, the more this world will be in ruins. "I need to be stronger." I glazed up. "I need to be stronger, faster, and smarter than he is because no matter how much power I gain, it's still not enough to defeat a man like Demir." I touch my neck. "I need power so something like this won't happen again. If he has someone backing him up and lending him the power he needs, I must find a way to stop them." The room I woke up in was. Still, there was no noise, and I didn't realize those little creatures were poking their heads at our conversations. I didn't bother to pay attention to them.

While the werewolves and humans are making peace and while they’re burning the vampires, I can use the fact that they’re distracted to find a way to contact my mom and make her lend me her powers. I haven’t seen my mom in such a long time and I’m really nervous. I don’t even know if I’m strong enough to contact her, but I have to try. I need more power. If I’m going to be the new savior, I need to be stronger and apparently, my mother can help.
