We Need To Talk About Kevin Novels & Stories

"I can take care of you until you find something else." They both blush as they look into each other's eyes, and I think it's the sweetest thing ever. Kevin is the best thing that has ever happened to my sister. "Thank you, babe, but I saved up since I don't pay rent or anything." She smiles softly at him. Kevin's eyes dart to me nervously. "Yeah, I was gonna talk to you about that, too." "Oh." Phoebe's lips form a perfect circle. I feel like we shouldn't be a part of this conversation, but it seems like Kevin is finally gathering up the courage to ask something, regardless of who's listening.

I hiss. The twins and Kevin are deep in conversation discussing the latest episode of Supernatural. “Oh, is it one of your one-night stands or should I say one-flight stands?" Kevah quirks an eyebrow at me. “Is it Patsy?" She guffaws. Jesus Christ, she's never going to let that go. “No, it's not Patsy, I didn't even save her number."

It was a teary and long-awaited goodbye. I looked around and saw the leaders of the people talking with Kevin and Liam. I didn't know what they were talking about but I doubted that I was going to be interested. It was probably going to be about wars, fighting weapons and techniques. I had overheard some of the men talking one day about how strong we were as werewolves and how he had been impressed when he saw our men practicing. I saw Kevin smile and nod his head and suspected that I might be right. The pack must have gotten a compliment and then Kevin was asked a question. His smile was too bright for them to be talking about wars and strategies alone.

He introduced. "How ye doin' lass... er.. Luna?" Kevin asked. Wow he had a thick Irish accent. He bowed out of respect. "I'm good. How are you doing Adam?" I asked. "I'm great Luna thank you for asking. " I saw keenan's face and I sat down on his lap. "Luna and Alpha are upstairs in Alpha's office if you'd like to introduce your mate." I said. They bowed and Adam took off. I mouthed 'I'm sorry' to Kevin who just smiled and took off after him. After they left the room I looked at the TV screen and watched Keenan play his video game. He's good.

"Jessica, you need to go home." "Whatever you have to say, we can talk about it outside." "Don't scare her." I let out a cold, mocking laugh that made my own eyes ache. "Talk outside? You're scared now, are you?" "Kevin, when you were doing all this, why weren't you scared then?" I stared into his shifting eyes and said, word by word, "We're over." Hearing this, a muscle in Kevin's jaw twitched violently. He took a frantic step forward, trying to grab my wrist. "Jess, calm down!"

Kevin’s eyes lingered a second too long before he forced them back to the TV. They ordered food, cracked open beers, and settled into their usual spots on the big sectional couch. The conversation started light—Mike complaining about the crowded gym, Kevin venting about a tight deadline—but underneath it all was the memory of the other night. It hung in the air like static electricity. Halfway through the pizza, Mike wiped his hands on a napkin and leaned back, legs spread wide. “So… we gonna talk about it or keep pretending nothing happened?” Kevin nearly choked on his beer. He set the bottle down, heart suddenly pounding. “Talk about what?”

Kevin was clean-shaven and smelled of fresh cut grass. “Hello, you must be Kevin.” I said as I extended my hand to him. “Yes, Luna. I am Kevin McClaren. Is everything ok? Should I be nervous?” “No. Why would you be nervous?” “I’ve seen you kill a lot of wolves over the last few days. Don’t get me wrong, they’ve all deserved death for their betrayals. It appears that every time you call for a wolf to talk to you, they are carried out.” Kevin replied while maintaining his gaze on his shoes.

Good! “Not that,” I dropped my fork, taking a sip of tea, before lecturing. “You don't change people's personality to the detriment of themselves, and betterment of yours.” Kevin shrugged, and I raised a brow. “Down,” I instructed, and he placed his tablet on the table, stabbing his omelettes nonchalantly. “Is there anything you want to discuss with your father and me concerning her?” Kevin began. “Am I missing something, Mom? To the best of my knowledge, it's not my birthday, yours, dad or anyone's. What's with the new development?”

“I didn't just want to talk to you.” “What does that mean?” I asked Kevin looked directly at me. “It means I've been thinking.” "About?” I asked. “Us,” he answered. The word settled heavily between us while neither of us moved, and eventually I exhaled. “This is about my job,” I said. Kevin nodded immediately. “Yes,” he replied. I almost laughed. Of course it was. “Kevin,” I began. “No,” he interrupted, shaking his head. “Don't do that.”

“I saw you staring at that bitch on the stage. That time Audrey came, I couldn't help but wonder how she'd look up there, after all she's a good dancer—” My fingers tightened around my glass as my eyes shut. I couldn't take it anymore. “What do you want from me?” I snapped, staring into his eyes as I straightened up. “Why do you keep talking about Audrey?” Kevin then raised his hand gently as a cunning grin appeared on his face. “Whoa, easy girl. I came here to talk to you.” My lashes flicked rapidly as I heard this, completely stunned. “You came to talk to me?” I asked.
