“We already had lunch with Uncle Ryan, Mama,” Bonnie said when Fatima told her to follow Mrs. Wilson inside.
“Go take a shower,” Fatima told her gently. “Then we’ll practice your lines.”
Bonnie nodded and followed Mrs. Wilson upstairs, Wave trailing along.
The moment they disappeared, Fatima dropped onto the couch, only to jump back up as she felt crumbs beneath her hands.
