His face was dark, filled with rage, his jaw clenched tight, his eyes flashing with pure fury. The doctor took one look at him and froze. “Excuse me. Who are…” Before he could finish, Liam grabbed him by the collar and pulled him aside, his voice lowering into a growl. “What the hell do you think you are doing?” The doctor let out a shocked grunt, stumbling. “I am…” But the moment he saw Liam’s face, his voice died in his throat. His entire expression shifted from annoyance to pure fear. “I…I didn’t realize you knew this lady, Mr. Liam,” the doctor stammered, his voice trembling. “I apologize! I had no idea…”

"You told me you wanted to take a walk on the woods, why didn't you just explain to me what you were feeling at the time? He asked, while everyone silently listens to the two. "I couldn't, because I didn't understand it myself. I was scared, I didn't know what was going on, I just felt a deep voice calling me out to the woods. If I was that scared, imagine if I had taken you to the woods and shape change Infront of you, that would have scared the living day light out of you". He paused and watched all their faces. The doctor was more interested in the story than anyone else. He was not really surprised, that is how doctors behave.

A gush of chatter that I’ve been turning over for days. “Stop. Don’t.” The doctor waves his hand at me, snapping me back to attention, and the wild-eyed terrified look on his face as though I just told him I have a bomb under my ass. He turns abruptly, panic slamming the card against the wall panel to slide open the door, lacking graceful coordination, and steps out of the doorway fully, shaking his hands and head and I follow, unsure why he’s recoiling. His whole-body trembling as he oozes a crazy amount of fear. I can taste it.

His gazes were fixed on me, but no word left his lips. "Maybe I'm dying." That was the only thought in my head until- "Eloise Wright." The doctor slowly removed his fingers from his mouth. I could see the muscles of his bottleneck stiffed and moving like he gobbled his saliva. 'Why does he look scared?' "I know you just woke up, but there is something you need to know." The doctor savaged his lower lips. His gaze avoided mine. My heart was swatting fast, and my lips were slightly open. I was wheezing, thinking the next word that would come out of the doctor's mouth would be the news of a condition that would bring about my death.

Many broke a bone or two and others were sedated with the wrong dosage and in the wrong places which left the whole office filled with bodies littered all over the floor. Connor was still breathing heavily, his eyes were sharp and scary. He walked towards the doctor who felt like shrinking into his seat and grabbed his tie forcefully, partially strangling him at the same time. The doctor's eyes were filled with so much fear while Connor's held so much anger. His eyes popped and he felt all the air in his lungs disappear into thin air just staring into Connor's eyes. The doctor shuddered with so much fear, he began to plead to Connor for his dear life.

With a shaky uncontrolled motion, he starts pouring the whiskey into a glass, looking up to me as he downs the shot in one. “Doctor, I need you to focus.” I growl out in warning. “I am, but I need some courage…” “Enough!” I roar out, my patience wearing thin. “You better start talking or so help me Goddess I…” An ominous sensation washes over me, one similar to dread. Something has changed about the doctor, his eyes that held fear for my actions now hold fear for his life as he grips onto his throat. “Doctor Bind?” “I…I…help me…” He gasps out just as he collapses over his desk.

Brielle POV. The world tilted violently. The doctor's words, Kael’s steadying hand, the sterile smell of the hospital – it all swam before my eyes. The image of Elion, bleeding and broken, flashed through my mind, followed by the stark finality of the doctor's pronouncement. It was too much. The fear, the anger, the crushing grief, the utter helplessness of being wolfless in this moment of crisis… it all converged, a tidal wave of emotion that finally broke through my defenses.
