The bride's stand-In

The bride's stand-In

This wasn’t just a party. It was a different world entirely. Lucas stepped closer, his voice low. “Your Highness,” he murmured, “please, do not stray from my side. This is not the kind of event where I can trust anyone blindly. And with everyone wearing masks tonight, it makes it even harder to discern intentions.” Evelyn glanced at the guests filtering into the grand entrance. Each of them was adorned in elaborate masks, their identities obscured. It was a masquerade—a dazzling yet deceptive illusion.

So he moved on. Of course, he did. With Mikaela Morris, of course. Good for them. Before I could reply or change the subject, the room lights dimmed. The music turned more rhythmic, and a waiter walked forward to make an announcement. "Dear guests, we have a little surprise tonight. To add to the atmosphere, we are having a masquerade ball. Please choose your mask at the table in the corner of the room, and enjoy an night of mystery!" I almost laughed. Of This lavish party had to have a dramatic touch.

Kingdom of Ash and Blood

Kingdom of Ash and Blood

Tonight, she would face the woman called The Red Widow. She had been mentioned only in code — seen in photographs, never in person. But Amara felt it in her gut. Tonight, the enemy would walk among them. And she'd be ready. The Masquerade Begins The grand ballroom swelled with music and murmurs. Chandeliers reflected off the marble, casting fractured light across silk gowns and masked faces. Luca appeared beside her like a phantom — dressed in tailored black, mask carved with Sicilian silver. His presence burned beside hers.

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

Whispers of Submission (Whispers #1)

A handwritten note was tucked inside, Reggie’s script again. A chance to dress up. Escape. Be whoever we want for one night. Dominic’s one of my oldest business partners. He is discreet and understands privacy. I thought… maybe we could go together. You and me. Cassie looked up at him, pulse kicking. “A masquerade?” He nodded. “It is a safe high-society. The masks mean no names, no faces unless you want them seen. I know it’s a different world, my world and it might be overwhelming but I want you there with me, not as arm candy. As my girlfriend.”

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Aetherion Academia #1: Shadows of Rebirth

Give the students something to celebrate so they forget they were being drugged at dinner. The Masquerade wasn't just a party. In the manuscript, it was described as the "Freshman Crucible." It was a freshmen-only rite where masks allowed for anonymity, but the quality of one's attire and the power of one's aura determined the social hierarchy for the rest of the year. It was where alliances were sealed with a dance and reputations were assassinated over flutes of enchanted nectar.

Sicilia said with a frown. She then looked at the confused Maya, “Every year, a Masquerade takes place in London, hosting the top elites of the world, famous public figures attend, famous CEOs, even someone from the royal family would come. It’s the ball of the year. Everyone waits for it. Everyone prays to be invited,” she explained patiently with a smile. Maya nodded in appreciation, “Sicilia, don’t worry, I’m sure we will find you something amazing,” she tried to reassure the old lady who seems to be feeling down, despite the smile.

You're the pain, You're the cure

You're the pain, You're the cure

They drove straight to a Paris themed resort named Opera games resort, it was a tall tower that stood beautifully amongst the many other hotels and resorts around it. They entered the magnificent gate, a beautiful waterfall played in the centre of the driveway, settled amongst and atop the waterfall was a life size mask, the kind that’s used during masquerade parties, this was super large in size, Mahira was mesmerised at the way it illuminated against the sun, it was golden colored with black borders and had diamonds, pearls and various gems all around its border

Forced By The Mafia

Forced By The Mafia

AUTHOR'S POV The day came. The day when William Adams was going to officially engage Ana to Jackson. Willaim Adams didn't even waste one day and held the party just one day after breaking the news to Ana. It was a masquerade ball and thankfully Ana was going to wear a mask. This party was not held because of some trend. This party was themed to be a Masquerade Ball to keep the identities of people attending the party hidden. It was necessary, as many underworld Mafias were going to attend the party today. A special secret code card was required to come inside the mansion. The security was also on high alert, as William Adams suspected that Beast will come today.

Masked : My Mysterious Husband

Masked : My Mysterious Husband

* He said to himself as he sat on one of the vacant stools in front of the counter and requested his drink. "Thank you." He said as he grapped the glass and placed his lips on it. He turned to the back to look at the people who were in the bar and it was then that he realised that they were dressed masquerade theme. Everyone including the waiters and waitresses had masquerade masks on. *Wtf!* He swore as he looked around. Then he remembered why the front was so colorful before he came in. God only knows what they were on about. But then his memory flashed the words in front of him.

The Masked Villain Wants to Marry me

The Masked Villain Wants to Marry me

Standing in front of the mansion, she looked at her surroundings. The mansion was huge, with elegant and tall infrastructure and statues placed by the large gardens blooming with blue hyacinth flowers. It was magnificent, to say the least. A maid in her uniform appeared in front of them and bowed, "Welcome to Duke Donovan's mansion, Lady Vienna. Please have a rest first. The duke will be appearing soon." The lady nodded, noticing something. It was strange, like their owner, she had a mask on. In fact, all the maids lined up to greet them had masks on their faces.
