I watched him as he sticks one of his fingers into her blood and wrote on her white fur as if it was a canvas, 'You can't fool us any more creatures. "Take it and threw it in the hood so her kind can see," he ordered his men. The man did as they were told and dragged her body away. As they did I wondered who the werewolf was within her human form. "Who was she?" I heard a whisper about as everyone got up from the floor wiping their face from the wolfbane that still burned and gave us an uncomfortable feeling. "You see that everyone, Bazaar said as he turned to look at us. We had a werewolf all along pretending to be our friend while she passes news to her leader."

Just when he thought that he was losing all hope of finding the rogues, he saw two werewolves who were fully in their wolf forms, pawing at a helpless woman who seemed to be dead. "Catch them!" Deluca ordered his men, who immediately went after the rogues. The rogues ran into the woods, but Deluca did not doubt that his guards would be able to find them and bring them back. A little curious, Deluca walked over to the woman who was still lying lifeless on the ground. He wanted to see if she was a wolf from his pack, and if she was, he would be sure to give her a proper burial. Deluca, however, stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the face of the woman lying on the ground.

For a brief moment Lia worried that it had been him who bit her, but then she noticed the hand falling out of his fangs. “Werewolf!” He gasped, grabbing hold of the women and pulling them through the water. “Dead now.” Jasper joined them then, and each man grabbed one of the women to pull them towards the raft that was just coming into view through the darkness. The young girl was already on board.

Reading about the war was one thing but watching it was sickening. “How could they have done this? Some even had mates who were human.” The scene changed again and it showed a young man and woman standing in the meadow. The man had jet black hair and grey eyes which had gold swirling in them. The woman's hair was silver and shone under the moonlight. Her eyes were filled with tears, love and determination whilst his eyes were filled with love and protectiveness. Their hands were intertwined.

"Don't touch me. Don't. Don't..." "Don't touch me. Don't, don't!" one of the guys mimicked her. The others laughed, entertained at what was happening. As rogues who had been held captive by the Ivanov pack for so long, they would do anything to be freed and that included scaring the very mate of the alpha. They received his permission so they had nothing to worry about. Not to mention, they heard of the rumor that the woman in front of them was not only a werewolf but a vampire as well. They wanted to see for themselves how strong she would be.

The wolf growled loudly while the woman vampire screamed as she kicked the wolf on the face then sliced one of the wolf’s paws. Again, I looked at the woman in the window. Surely, she must have heard that, right? If not the wolf’s howl, she should have heard the scream. But the woman carried on as if the night was still and quiet. Not only that, there was an old man walking out from the same house carrying big plastic bags. He walked calmly, past the woman vampire and the wolf, dumped the plastic bags in the trash can, then looked at me. “Are you okay, dear?” he asked. Suddenly, Conal stopped Azura from moving forward; he pulled her into a large tree, motioning to keep quiet. A moment later, thanks to the faint light of moonlight, dispelling the mist, the two could see what was ahead of them. A tall, hairy figure was just a few feet away from them. It was none other than the werewolf in wolf form. In his hand was a woman. There was also a rather large bite mark on his neck. At a glance, she was bitten to death by a werewolf and prepared to be his night meal.

The lycans are off to the side, looking like they are celebrating as the woman sits alone, watching them. The next section is the wolves coming back to life and the woman leading until what looks like a lycan with a crown pierces the woman in the heart. My chest heaves, my heart aching as I watch the truth be revealed. We broke our promise to protect and care for the werewolves.
