he responds. “Fuck off. I’m starting on Luna’s case and I need you to hack and track.” “Yeah sure, let me finish eating and I’ll be up”. Alpha Raymond, that name was still nagging at me. Why did it seem so familiar? Logging into the pack library, I pull up the most recent records book on the Black Oak Pack and start to read. Being a werewolf, or shifter as we like to say, comes with lots of awesome pros, but there are a few cons. A major con is that information on other packs and werewolf history is not widely available. Luckily our ancestors kept track of important things and shared them among packs and most recently, they have uploaded them to digital libraries in our pack servers for ease

I picked up the fourth book I had taken and read the title printed onto the cover. ‘The Great Packs’. It told the story of the great wars and battles between the seven great packs throughout history. To think that all this knowledge was at my disposal all along but I would have never guessed to come and look for it because I thought shifters only existed in books and TVs. There were five great packs: Lunar, Eclipse, Bloodmoon, Solstice and Bragavone. The Lunar pack was the one that was completely wiped out, the one, which I was born into. The Eclipse pack was Jason’s pack. It was known to be a strong pack but it was not the strongest pack that was out there. That title belonged to the Bloodm

Brooklyn's fingers shook slightly as she sat back down and opened the book. Despite the stereotype, werewolves do not run around killing humans and howling at the moon. For the most part, they are peaceful creatures, surviving and packs and keeping the peace. The pack system has been around for thousands of years, helping werewolves to evolve and expand. Packs range in size, but they all follow a hierarchy of command; with the Alpha at the top.

The type to make Dracula think of her as a love interest. But you see, Werewolves lived in their designated packs while, Witches and Vampires are both in covens. The wolf pack lands were huge and they were subdivided into three which comprised of Red Moon Crescent pack, The Wolverine Pack, and The Fire Dart Pack. She hoped her parents made it in time for her eighteenth birthday. She suspected something had gone wrong. That perception was churning at her stomach, her guts told her it wasn't anything pleasant. She needed something better to do than to sulk, so she jumped out of bed with her phone, still wearing her flip-flops and checkered pajamas. Her pale skin complimenting the milky shade o

Werewolves. That was the Ashford legacy. She hadn’t understood it until she was old enough to read through the family’s old journals: heavy leather-bound books with cramped writing. The stories were always the same, The Ashfords hunting wolves. The Ashfords wiping out entire packs. The Ashfords fighting alphas under blood moons. Some of them even traded their blood for silver steel. That was her family’s pride. And her prison.

Maybe I was imagining it, but the library suddenly felt at least ten degrees warmer. I focused my attention back on the books in front of me, now that Cole had added a few. I could feel his gaze still on me, but I tried to ignore it as best as possible. Then I turned a page and the book really did grab my entire attention. On the pages I found a record of all the packs of the werewolves, not just the Grandmoon Pack. I turned the page, hoping to find some record of the Western Pack. Sure enough, there was indeed a record of the western pack, but it was just a few sentences.

NARC wanted to off options for those who first came. The pack still exists, somewhere to the north of the Lilac Grove. People still come hoping to learn about the once secret world of the legendary supernatural creatures. This ends Wolf’s Den Bar & Grill. Yes, the story still goes on. If you haven’t read other parts of this story. It all starts with the A Black River Pack Series: Book 1: His Brother’s Mate/A Black River Pack Yule Book 2: Hell Hounds Book 3: Serving the Alpha at His Whim

**This is Book Four of the Pack Series. References will be made in this book to events that happened in previous books without going into explanation of those events. It is recommended that you start with the first book in the series - The Pack’s Doctor. *One month before the second epilogue in The Pack’s Alpha. Henry “You’re making a big mistake, Henry,” Quirin growls. “So you keep telling me, Q. But you get to crawl into bed every night with a woman you love after kissing your pups goodnight. I’m tired of sleeping in a bed that’s cold and waking up alone on an Alpha floor that’s so quiet it’s deafening.”

Most of the pack still looked at me like I didn't belong there. But I was that desperate. The room was small and dusty. Shelves lined the walls, filled with old books and rolled-up papers. Everything smelled like leather and age. I started pulling books down, looking for anything about werewolves. About shifting. About why mine kept stopping halfway. The first few books were about pack law and territory disputes. Boring stuff that didn't help. But then I found ones about bloodlines. About different types of wolves. I read about Feral-Bloods like Axel. About Nightborns and Runebinders. About Pureblood Alphas.

The roofs also catch rainwater as a backup, and there’s space with a giant firepit and grill where we all gather as a pack every night. I finally feel so whole being Luna of Emerald Moon. And it turns out we’re not the last wolf pack anymore. After the Council was destroyed and the vampires became our allies, many people emerged from all over the country. Not every wolf pack had been completely destroyed. There were remnants surviving, shifters who had been in hiding, enough of them that they’ve all begun rebuilding just like we have. So, I’m not the Luna of the last wolf pack anymore. I’m the Luna of the first pack to be rebuilt for our new future.
