What Does Onyx Mean As A Name Novels & Stories

Onyx said with a proud wag in his tone. I blinked. “What is it with you and this woman? You don’t even know her and sound like a lovesick pup.” “Maybe I just listen,” he snapped. “She answered when we called for help, when no one else did. She’s special. She deserves a name.” He retreated, sulking in the back of my mind, and I sat there wondering if maybe, just maybe, he was right. “Nightingale,” I said aloud, and the name felt right. Solid. Soothing.

“If you’re done with the dramatics, Mother Goose, we’ll—” “Onyx,” called Jesse from outside, “there’s someone here to see you.” “Who is it this time?” Onyx growled. “The Shade and some of his wolves.” Onyx groaned. “Great.” All he wanted was to be alone with Tasha. Instead of people leaving, more and more kept appearing. Royd cocked his head. “Who?” “The Alpha of the local pack,” replied Onyx. Royd’s forehead creased. “Why is his nickname the Shade?”

, Charles smirked in response. “Dove”, Onyx answered. “Unique, who would have thought the name of the most feared person in the underworld meant pure”. Onyx chuckled at his words. "We can't let the people know then”, she said, grinning. “And now you're among the 5 people including my parents who know my real name”. “Who are the other two?”. “They are very close associates just like you”, she answered with a wink. “Did Andrew know Onyx?” Charles wondered. “He might be mistaken, and it was another girl with the same name”.

Just the thought of it was enough to make her heart ache. In comparison to suffering and watching others suffer, she would rather choose the latter. "Victoria, I knew you would win. How are you so amazing? I admire you so much. You are my idol!" Wendy finished flattering Onyx and proceeded to flatter Victoria with the same tactics. "Victoria, Onyx is so talented. I don't think the name Onyx suits it well. "What about calling it Tornado? Or Commander? "What about Royal? I think Royal suits it well. And we'll never be royal …"

I whisper, tracing my finger over the baby’s smile, my smile. “It is indeed.” Eamon replies. “What does it mean?” I ask, not sure if Eamon would know if the name has special meaning. “It comes from an old word for the halo of light that surrounds the moon in the dark of night,” Eamon says. “Mother thought it would be the perfect name for a werewolf princess.” “Then that’s who I shall be. Aylon Auburn. Maybe it’s who I’ve always been, even if I never knew it.” I say to him.

He asks them, and they erupt once again. Everyone’s attention turns to me for the names. “With great consideration, we have decided to gift our daughter's name, the middle name of your late Luna, Elena.” Onyx’s mother happily weeps as she approaches us, pulling Onyx and me into a tight hug. “Thank you, my dear, thank you.” She whispers before letting us go and bowing to us. The clapping doesn’t cease until she rejoins her husband. I can see tears of joy within many pack members as I turn my attention to Onyx. “It has been a dream of mine to use the name we have chosen for our son. A name that Briar had brought forth before I had the opportunity to suggest. The name for our son and future Alp

My father put our son in her arms, and she looked up at me, smiling. “Are we in agreement with our name?” “Always,” I said, kissing her forehead then wrapping my arm around her as I stared at my beautiful baby boy. We wanted another name that meant something important, that had the meaning of a mythological being. “Mom, Dad, meet our son, Orion.”

And for the very first time in my life, I was hypnotized by a woman’s coquettish behavior. “You’re handsome.” “I love you!” and all that. I had heard these cheesy lines so many times that I lost count of it. However, my gorgeous mate’s praise put my heart at ease, as if I was relieved after hearing the good reviews for my new project. My entire existence shook as my Erasthai cupped my face and asked, “My name is Onyx. What should I call you, my mate?” Her inhumane voice was laced with respect, it seemed that my Erasthai’s wolf had recognized my King’s status. Despite Ares’s protest, I put her on the bed and replied,

Odessa thought out loud, keeping the conversation going. "Onyx is the inspiration of our Omegas and other she-wolves. She's an Omega but commands our wolf warriors. On the field, she's more of an Alpha than an Omega. As much as she's a great sacrifice to us, omegas aren't meant to be on their own, they are supposed to be pampered and be taken care of by their mates. I peached to my omegas every day to let their mates do the job but my words are being taken for granted, Onyx has taken my place in their hearts," she explained, her tone holding no bitterness or malice but with tenderness and fervor.

"Go get stuffed, you horny old bastard! I have a fated mate. I can feel him! Unless we reject each other, you will never be able to bond with us, no matter what you do!" Onyx carefully analyzed her chest and snickered bitterly as he saw the mate mark of a crescent moon glowing on her fair skin, "This is rather an unheard of development and here I was hoping you to be fair game for at least a year...how disappointing." He then released her and his eyes transformed back to his gray eyes.
