I shoved the half-dissolved tablet into her mouth and clamped my hand over her lips. She struggled weakly, hands flailing. I held firm. “Swallow.” Her movements slowed. Her body slackened. I didn’t know what dosage it required. I didn’t care. I stumbled to my feet. “Hailey,” I whispered. She was breathing. Thank God. I tried to lift her, but dizziness slammed into me like a wall.
