Silent Howls
I found myself thinking about supper and writing a diary to share the details of my days without him later.
A cool drop landed on my face, then another, halting me in my tracks. I looked up just as the sky opened, soft droplets falling onto my hair, my sleeves, and my long skirt. The fabric darkened, clinging to me, but I didn't step back.
Instead, I laughed under my breath and stretched my hands outwards, my palms up, welcoming the rain.
“Rain is a sign of blessing.” I murmured to myself, closing my eyes. “The moon goddess must be in a very good mood today.”
