The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The entire island glowed. The drowned kingdom beneath the sea became visible. For one impossible second. Lily saw it. Everyone did. Buildings. Roads. Statues. An entire city hidden beneath the ocean. God. It was real. Fair. Actually real. Reasonable honestly. Then darkness returned. And something began rising. Slowly. Very slowly. From beneath the water. At first Lily thought it was another island. A cliff. A mountain. Something natural. Then she realized it was moving. God.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

Love in lies

Love in lies

she paused and looked around her. "Marco's study is like a maze. I swear he hides the important stuff in the most random places, maybe I'll find a treasure." Her eyes went to the door ahead. "Coffee after this. I need it." I pushed it open, the study was dim, a single lamp casting a weak circle of light over a desk littered with papers, a half‑full glass of water, and a stack of contracts. My gaze drifted to the floor where something glossy peeked from under a fallen pile of books, it was a photograph.

Beneath The Shadows

Beneath The Shadows

He said to Nagar as he bent and gazed at the liquid beneath and watched the Kampft Counter if it would react. The horizontal bar at the top left corner of his screen does not move. He waited for it to rise but it did not. It would only mean that the liquid is not paranormal in nature. He walked back and continued with the third room, which also had fell in ruins as if some typhoon ravaged it. Wooden splinters from the furniture were scattered everywhere. The bathroom, still had no toilet bowl, remained dirty. No dark murky liquid can be seen anywhere but the white walls were stained with a black matter. He focused at it and let the Kampft Counter analyze the material. It never hurt to be sur

LIFE OF LIES

LIFE OF LIES

People like him , who were monsters behind closed doors, always wanted to pretend to be saints in front of people. He cleared his throat and tried to look composed, "Last night at the party someone attacked me when I was looking for restroom". George said trying to dismiss this converstaion clearly lying about him trying to find restroom. It was fascinating to Sia how people like George could lie looking directly in someone's eyes, but she can't say much about it as she was not any better than those people. Everyone looked quite shocked after hearing that someone attacked George. Louis didn't want to look up and see George as he knew, he won't be able to control himself. So, he was playing w

Beneath the Façade

Beneath the Façade

Cold dread spread across my chest like frost, silencing the fire just long enough to listen. Dangerous? The word echoed in my head, louder than I wanted to admit. And that’s when it hit me, this wasn’t over. Not even close. There was still more. More lies. More secrets. More truths buried beneath years of silence. Beneath years of facade. And I wasn’t ready for what I was about to uncover.

Love of lies

I said taking a sip out of the coffee "I mean, living with him will be hell fun, I wish I had a perfect one to stay with" I hummed my response as I ate a bite of lemon tart. "I wonder what he’s doing right now," Jeff said ANDREW POV This is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept on. I wasn’t able to sleep throughout the night, that fucking couch was so uncomfortable. After I heard the cracking sound of the door closing this morning, I immediately enter Tara’s room and continued my sleep. I have had enough of the couch, it’s so uncomfortable and feels like gravel. When l laid on the bed, a confession wondered in my head; she smells delicious, and I couldn’t help but think about how

Beneath The Act

“Can you say it louder? I don’t think the janitor in the basement heard you.” She gasped dramatically. “Kailee! You live with that and didn’t tell me? You’re literally one steamy shower scene away from a W*****d fantasy.” “I. Hate. Him.” I said, punctuating each word like a curse. “He’s arrogant, infuriating, and thinks he knows everything. He just—he gets under my skin.” She grinned. “That’s what makes it juicy.” I scowled. “You’re impossible.” She shrugged. “Just saying, if my stepbrother looked like that, I’d accidentally marry him.”

BENEATH THE MASK

BENEATH THE MASK

I checked my bag—everything was intact—and finally set my alarm on my phone. I was too tired to think about what could happen if Damian ever found out that the girl he was desperately looking for—Jade Firefly—was actually under his nose. I didn’t know what he would do. But one thing was certain. That one night, that one lie, had made him the one man who could ruin everything for me. I closed my eyes and let sleep take me, letting the exhaustion wash over me like a tidal wave. POV: Damian

LIES OF HOPE

LIES OF HOPE

Behind her someone screamed and she turned at the sound of the word “Spectral” She saw it moving rapidly along the lower ramparts as it shifted in and out of visibility, but when it was visible it was blacker than anything she’d ever seen. It crawled like a giant spider but it was more twisted than that, more grotesque. Where it attacked the person screamed as the creature slashed and pulled them apart with its claws. Lisa felt her gut wrenching but not in fear, in anger. She could taste the Magic, taste the darkness of it and it made her feel sick. Without thinking she jumped from the wall and clambered quickly down to the lower ramparts. Nela yelled at her but she was already to far ahead
