" I used to see myself as one bright mystery buff, but I got shamed and dissapointed, just the way John Grishams books shames me. All my predictions of the killer was totally wrong, I had four suspects but they weren't the killer. I kept guessing, but I couldn't predict right. I found myself racing towards the satisfying end to find out another story just began, like the ending of the story birthed a new story, and to be honest, I was wowed," "The devil was not who I was expecting it to be, like he didn't even cross my mind. 'Detective Johnson' is a page turner that jolts me anytime I think about it, it is entertaining. I love everything about it, the intriguing title, the setting, the vivid

This book was a page turner from start to finish, I couldn't put it down once I started. Full of humour and wit, and some of the most ridiculously funny characters I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. This book is worth five stars and more. Kudos to the writer?
Illustrious Joy
An inciting read with spurs of savory romance, humour and subtle wit. I so much love the bond between Adesewa and Kenechukwu. The writer's pen keeps brewing scintillating scenes about them that it leaves me with an insatiable urge for more chapters. Big ups to you dearie❤

Forgotten Wife: My Ex-Husband Regrets It After I Left

“This one?” Liam squinted. “Too dramatic.” I giggled again. “You’re a ruthless book critic.” He shrugged. “But you like it, don’t you?” I couldn’t deny it. This moment felt pleasant. Warm. Calm. Like a small fragment of life that used to get lost in the busyness of our separate worlds. We kept walking around, reading titles and studying covers one by one. From brightly colored illustrations, glamorous celebrity photos, to simple designs with only embossed titles and the author’s name.

Thank you for the book. I was confused by the number of days left but it’s okay. I truly hope that she doesn’t give him a second chance. He doesn’t even care in the least. She deserves to find someone who treats her like a queen. I’m not against second chances but some people don’t deserve them

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH

She was already thinking about what she wanted to do Julian came down from the library. He was wearing a gray sweater. He picked up a book review magazine that had just arrived. He started reading it and a big smile spread across his face. "The people who review books are saying that our book is really good, " Julian said. He put the magazine down next to Elena's laptop. He walked over to her. Put his hands on her waist. He looked at the outline that was pinned to the board. "They like that our book does not rush through the story. They like that it takes its time and does not try to surprise the reader every page. It seems like all your experience in the book business has helped you make a

A Million Little Lies

A Million Little Lies

Andrew looks skeptical at first, but then a smile spreads across his face. As Andrew fills out the blanks, we both start laughing at the hilarious combinations. We’re having so much fun that we almost forget about the meeting. Finally, we’ve filled in all the blanks, and we begin to read through the completed worksheet. It’s the most ridiculous business plan I’ve ever seen, but I have to admit, it’s also kind of brilliant. Maybe there’s something to this unconventional approach! ""Grandpa will surely love this," I said, excitement evident in my voice. However, Andrew shook his head, expressing his disapproval.

Their Little White Lie

Their Little White Lie

“Because that's kind of a hard story to believe.” I laughed, this time because I was nervous. “Yes. Why would I lie to you guys?” I continued lying. This was how people sank further and further into lies. For a moment, I imagined the worst. What if I push myself in too deep? What if it became harder to climb out of the lie and I just kept on going and going with it until I couldn't get up again? What if I found myself forgiving Alex all because I couldn't face the world as the cheated-on fiancee?

Which obviously, he was lying. It bothered me. I had been lying on his bed in one of his shirts and nothing else, complaining loudly about it, and he had been watching me from the doorway with a half patient, half amused expression he had, that meant he was about to do something that would make me forget what I was talking about. He crossed the room and he didn't say anything. He just took the book out of my hand and set it on the nightstand, and then he looked at me. "Niko," I said. "The room is literally…"

Your Last Lie to Me! {Book One}

Your Last Lie to Me! {Book One}

I instinctively bit the glove that dressed my hand, specifically the part of the fabric that dressed the middle finger of the hand that had covered my mouth, and my left heel began bouncing anxiously. Why were the characters behaving autonomously? Shouldn’t they stick to their feelings? But if that were so, did that mean that Isaak and Dominic had been attracted to Vivanna? I frowned. I had no way of knowing that because the book hardly talked about anyone but Daisy and the male leads’, that and… According to the book, Dominic was not a male lead: Isaak, who was, despised her. So I think it’s fair to assume that…I bought the wrong book!

A LIE SO BEAUTIFUL

A LIE SO BEAUTIFUL

“Ashley, can we do this—“ I said, then she cut in, “no Janelle, we can’t.” “You said you’re fine, but I’m not. Let’s just party, we’ll be back soon, okay?” She begged, then I had no choice but to give in. She hugged me and happily hailed a taxi. “Downtown club,” she said as we got in. The city buildings blurred past us, and I replayed what I had earlier read. “Loan collateral: His granddaughter, Janelle Peters.” How could he do this to me? And what on earth did he borrow to have a debt of $500,000?

The Price of Lies

The Price of Lies

“That time, you thought that you only cared about your career. However, every woman would want kids and a happy family. “You can ask the manager and see if I was discussing business dealings earlier. “After all, Gabby’s a pregnant lady. If you ruin her reputation, the child will grow up being prejudiced against. I’m doing her a favor. “I didn’t expect you to make such a big fuss and call your parents over.” Even my parents were rendered speechless by John’s words. They pointed at Gabby’s stomach. “Do you think everyone’s an idiot? Go and get a DNA test if you dare to do so!”

Frequently Asked Questions

I read 'Big Little Lies' after watching the first season of the show, and honestly, it gave me a whole new appreciation for both. The book is much more interior, spending chapters inside the heads of Madeline, Celeste, and Jane in a way the show can only hint at. You get the full force of their internal monologues—Celeste’s rationalizations about her marriage are especially chilling on the page. The adaptation is fantastic, but it necessarily streamlines some subplots and secondary characters.

I’d say reading it first gives you the pure, unfiltered mystery. You’re piecing together the tragic event alongside the gossipy townsfolk, without the visual spoilers of the cast’s incredible performances. Then, watching the show becomes a reward, seeing how they brought those complex inner worlds to life. The book’s humor also feels a bit sharper and darker to me.
