This Is What She Chose

This Is What She Chose

News of a wedding in Nordica's top power family lit up the world. But at the rehearsal, I caught my fiancée, Ivette Bianchi, making out with her childhood sweetheart, Jerick Weiner. "Babe, we've been in love forever. Let me use your first-time blood as pigment for my art?" Ivette blushed, hesitated— Jerick didn't wait. He pinned her to the wall and kissed her. "My best piece needs that color," he whispered. "I want this painting to end our youth." I watched them twisted together, ice-cold. Dropped the ring. It clattered across the floor. "Go through with the ceremony," I said. "Or your family goes broke." She stiffened, shoved Jerick off, and spat, "Fine." Then she turned right back, grabbed his hand, and dragged him inside. "It's just a bachelorette party. I won't miss the rehearsal." The door slammed. I didn't react. I was done. I made the call. "Change the bride. And yeah—the Bianchis crossed the line first. I want them erased."

The Chubby Shadow Luna

The Chubby Shadow Luna

She was too soft, too chubby, and too gentle for a brutal world. That’s what her Alpha told her the night he rejected her in front of the entire pack. “I need a Luna with teeth, not tits.” Moments later, Emara Dell lay dying in the snow...murdered by the same wolves she once healed. But death is only the beginning. Under the blood-red moon, the Goddess resurrects her as the Shadow Luna: powerful, untouchable, and burning with shadowfire. Her heartbeat awakens an ancient guardian across the sea....Fenric, the legendary Bone Wolf, a monstrous, devastatingly beautiful male who rises with one purpose: Find her. Claim her. Destroy anyone who ever hurt her. Bodies begin to appear beneath crescent moons. Wolves whisper of a feral god hunting in the dark. And when Emara and Fenric finally collide, their connection is explosive, forbidden, and dangerously addictive, and filled with heat that could burn a world to ash. But jealousy has consequences. Lyrina Veega, the Beta’s daughter and Corvin’s childhood favorite, performs a forbidden ritual to steal Emara’s power… and accidentally tears open a divine rift, awakening a forgotten god. Now war is coming. Desire is a weapon. And Emara must decide if she will rule the shadows...or let them consume her. A dark, high spice paranormal romance full of feral devotion, explosive chemistry, brutal revenge, and a heroine who rises from death as something no Alpha could ever control.

What Was Buried That Night

What Was Buried That Night

I was in San Aria Bay with my mom, enjoying a quiet, sunlit getaway, when my phone suddenly lit up with a string of messages from my husband's ever-arrogant secretary. She sent a photo. The woman in it had been stripped naked, her body covered in blood, the sight almost unbearable. A voice message followed, her tone dripping with disdain. "Jeannie, do people like you always take advantage of others like this? "Mr. Smith just bought this house, and you already had your mother move in for free? As his chief secretary, it's my responsibility to remove anyone living off him."

No Longer Your Shadow

No Longer Your Shadow

I've accidentally worn a dress belonging to my deceased older sister, Gwendolyn Stokes, to a family banquet. Because of that, my husband, Thomas Torres, goes quiet with fury. He then sentences me to a punishment of kneeling in the snow for three long hours. The blizzard chills me to the bone. My son, Robin Torres, makes fun of me while hurling snowballs at me. "No matter how much you dress up, you'll always be a phony! Don't think you can go around replacing my mommy just because you've changed into her dress!" As I stare at Robin's face, which bears some resemblance with mine, I feel my heart breaking. He has no idea that I'm his actual mother. On the year Gwendolyn passed away, Thomas, who drank himself into a stupor, mistook me for her. That night, he kept moaning Gwendolyn's name and whispering sweet nothings to me. That was how I got pregnant with Robin. Thomas has forbidden me from telling anyone the truth. On the other hand, I can't bear to leave my own child alone. So, I beg Thomas repeatedly to let me stay in the Torres residence. During my stay here, Thomas gives me the cold shoulder all the time. Only when he needs to vent his desire does he seek me out. What I didn't expect is that Robin hates my guts as well. Not only does he keep pulling pranks on me from time to time, but he also curses at me. "Shameless women like you have no right to stay in my home! Once I grow up, I'll definitely kick you out!" Now, I can finally respond to him. "Oh, I don't have to wait for you to grow up at all." Tomorrow, I'll pack my things and leave. I no longer want to remain as someone else's replacement and continue living a life of humiliation. This time, I'm going to pursue a life of my own.

Rayna Pelkonen
This is one of the saddest female leads ever. It keeps getting worse for the FL. The plot is unclear. The reason for him being with both women and his feelings are unclear. It’s entertaining but not very satisfying. Like to know what his feelings are towards them and hope things get better for FL.

Book was a page turner until I got to the end and then had to start reading 1 a day. Some closure to MsJenkins and divorce but not fully closed. No real character development and Josie is getting worse. I will keep reading for now but may be jumping ship soon if Josies situation doesn’t get better.

A Shadow of Doubt

A Shadow of Doubt

Ten years after graduation, I funded a scholarship for underprivileged students at my alma mater. During the ceremony's interview segment, one of the scholarship recipients suddenly grabbed the microphone. "That night at the karaoke bar, you forced yourself on me! Aren't you going to take responsibility?" Her words cut through the room, and every student and faculty member turned to look at me. In an instant, I was branded a rapist. The company's stock fell immediately in response. Amid the chaos, I simply stared at the girl in front of me. Had students really become so ruthless just to get what they wanted? Only a few days ago, I had helped her fend off a gang of troublemakers, so how could she turn around and spread lies about me then? Besides, I was a woman. What could I possibly have done to her?

Love, Lies, And Redemption

Love, Lies, And Redemption

"Sign it." Rachel picked it up and glanced at it. It was a divorce paper. It stated that she had to vacate the house without any belongings and return everything she had taken from the Brown family. This included shares, businesses, properties gifted by the Brown family, and any cash received from them. Rachel's face drained of color. "Why?" She asked, her voice shaking. Lucas replied indifferently, "If you don’t sign, in five days, I’ll make your family wish they were never born. You have these five days for your family to move out." Her body shook with fear. Is he really serious?
