What You Do Speaks So Loudly Novels & Stories

Then he reached over and closed my laptop gently. "Look at me," he said. I did. "Tomorrow, you will walk into that boardroom and show them who you truly are. Not my husband. Not someone who got lucky. Just Caelen Ryn, the brilliant marketing analyst who sees things others miss." He cupped my face and said, "Let your work speak for itself. That is how you win." "What if they do not listen?" "They will listen," he said. "Because you are going to make it impossible not to."

To trust yourself when all doubt. To lead from a danger only you can see clearly. To explain, enable the blind to see. To give people the power to hear the extraordinary in the ordinary, the everyday and normal encryption of the spoken word. To show them the messages and conversations that happen all around us to different levels of the brain. That's quite the challenge. I don't engage. "You may have some. Do you want to make a deal for it?" Not on your life. "I don't care. Do whatever. You just do what you want anyways. Why should I concern myself when it is not up to me." I finally speak. My voice is creaky and hoarse, heavy with irritation.

Dorothy sat up straight, her demeanor exuding severity. “The idle work I’m talking about is just like one who stands on top of Mount Everest. If you stand at the foot of the mountain and shout at this person at the top of your voice, he wouldn’t be able to hear what you’re saying. You can keep shouting until your voice is gone, but he still won’t hear it.”

Same heavy, automated silence. "𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘓𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘫𝘰𝘣. 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘸𝘰 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘥𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘳𝘴." I shake my head again

“Say the word, and I shut this down.” “No,” I said. “I need to speak.” Sophia arrived moments later, her expression calm but alert. “You sure?” “Yes.” The press gathered quickly. Questions came fast. “Are you in danger?” “Is the exhibition still happening?” “Are you being controlled by corporate interests?” I raised my hand. The noise slowly settled. “I won’t comment on speculation,” I said clearly. “But I will say this. Fear thrives in silence. I won’t be silent.”

I said. The words felt like release. “I do not want the silence. I do not want the safe distance. I do not want to survive alone.” The atrium was completely still. “I want this,” I whispered. He swallowed. “Even if this includes quarterly reports and corporate chaos and you turning meetings into emotional monologues.” “I cannot promise that will stop.” “It better not.” A soft wave of laughter again. I took one final breath. My voice shook, but not from fear. From fullness.

“I don’t fear being in a room telling facts. I fear soundbites that live without context.” He was right. He argued to step into the light and say what needed saying. He would place his voice next to the sound clip that had said “deploy distraction.” He would answer. He would be visible the moment the darkness tried to smear him. It was the kind of bravery that is also a weapon.

Back in my office I closed the door behind me and exhaled slowly. I hadn’t spoken a single word to them, but that didn’t mean I was weak. No silence was power. And mine was growing louder every day. Let them smirk. Let them mock. Let them place their hope in Logan's silence. Because either way, I was not done. Not by a long shot.

“Be true to yourself, and they will believe in you.” On the day of the election, Alex stood at the front of the auditorium, heart racing as he addressed his peers. He spoke passionately about his vision for their school, emphasizing how every voice mattered and how they could work together to create a nurturing environment. His sincerity shone through, and as he looked out at the sea of faces, he felt a connection—a shared purpose that transcended their individual struggles.
