lenses on the soldiers' helmets explode. "Go!" Hope yelled. I grabbed Silas’s shadow-hand—or rather, the "Signal" of it—and ran for the window. We dived out into the night, landing on the wet grass of a real-world backyard. I looked up at the sky. It wasn't purple or gold. It was a deep, infinite black, dotted with billions of real, uncoded stars. But as I looked at the stars, I saw something that made my heart stop. The stars weren't just stars. They were arranged in a **Grid**.

At the very least, the name still carried some weight. The arrangement seemed to suit both sides perfectly, but alas, fate didn't always go along with one's plans. The two families had met up for a meal. However, when the food arrived, Alice suddenly felt nauseous and vomited right in front of everyone.

The day I was released from prison, a woman claiming to be my ex-wife came to take me home. Instinctively, I pulled away when she reached for my hand. "I don't know you." She frowned, assuming I was still upset. "Five years ago, we agreed that once you got out, we'd remarry. Mom's getting older, and she misses you." Hearing that, I opened the diary I always carried with me. Written inside was an instruction: 'If someone claims to be your ex-wife, go home with her.' So, I did. After I returned home, I became the perfect husband and the perfect son in their eyes. When my ex-wife seemed to be fooling around with my younger half-brother, I pretended not to notice. When my mother openly admi

“It’s… a constellation necklace?” I asked, confused as I stared at the delicate piece of a necklace resting in the box. Tiny stars connected by thin lines. It's shimmering. “Yeah,” he said softly. “It means… the stars aligned for us. Not just coincidence, but something destined. Like how shooting stars seem random but maybe they’re not.” He looked at me with that same sincerity again. His hand reached out to gently brush some of my hair aside, then tapped the top of my head like I was a kid.

His gaze stayed on the sky, following the stars as they slowly formed across the darkness. “What’s that?” She followed his eyes. “Fix your gaze up, the stars are aligning in the sky.” Marina watched the stars gathering across the dark sky, each one stirring memories from her childhood—those nights spent with her sister, Ophelia, lying together, studying the stars and naming them because Ophelia was convinced each one was special to her in a way only she understood. Her eyes stung, but she quickly blinked the tears away. She was too happy, too happy, she wanted to cry her eyes out. He took her here to watch the stars align with her because she talked about watching them with her sibling. Coul

he responds, falling into step beside me with natural coordination that would be troubling under other circumstances. As we approach, I catch the exact moment Finley senses our presence—her posture straightening slightly, her head tilting in subtle acknowledgment before she even turns. Nova recognizing the approach of both her mates, responding to our proximity. "You found something," she says as she turns to face us, her expression shifting from focused concentration to alert interest. Not a question, but recognition of our purposeful approach. "Dane has information about the 'stars aligning' reference," I explain, noting how naturally we're working together. "A specific astronomical event

It involved harnessing a specific planetary alignment to amplify the earth’s energy, creating a localized surge that would disrupt the ley line convergence and sever the entity’s connection. The planetary alignment presented a narrow window of opportunity – a few hours before dawn, on the next full moon. The stakes were incredibly high. A miscalculation could lead to a catastrophic disruption of the planet’s energy, unleashing unforeseen consequences. But failure to act would leave the world vulnerable to the resurfacing of the entity’s power.

interesting". But as he read on, there was one particular page that caught his attention. That page spoke of a celestial alignment that occurred once in a century, which created a cosmic connection between disparate entities it was referred to as, a "Celestial Bond", and was said can occur between beings of totally different worlds, uniting them in a way that transcended mere physical attraction.

I told him truthfully. "Good. Because I have something else for you" "What is it?" I asked. "An offer? To watch the stars with me tonight" he said right before he stopped walking to stare at my face even through the darkness. "Stars? But there are no..." My words caught in my throat as I looked up into the dark glittering sky. And there they were, the glittering stars that show up once every full moon. Oh. My. God. "What do you think?" He asked softly, caressing the skin of my hand gently.

And I will protect what's mine. Outside, three moons aligned in the sky, a rare celestial event that wouldn't occur again for three months.
