The Secretly Rich Man

The Secretly Rich Man

With that, the sickening crack of bones could be heard as Gerald’s foot completely crushed Vulture’s ribcage…! Drowning in his own blood, Vulture could only manage a gurgle before the life in his eyes vanished… Though his body was now limp and lifeless, Vulture’s eyes retained their furious glare. It almost seemed as though Vulture had still been racking his brains on how to murder Gerald, seconds before his death…

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.

How I Saved my Husband with S*x

How I Saved my Husband with S*x

the dove said in the attempt to fly away. "Then you leave me with no choice but to kill and feast on you, with my friend the vulture," the beast said. Turning to the vulture he said, "After him, my good man. Don't let him escape. Bring him to me and you will have the best part of the meat and blood. You have my word," the beast promised and the vulture went after the dove violently, and it became a race of life and death. Both of them swing in the wind of fury and survival. The vulture gave the dove a deadly scratch of his claws which left him bleeding and he fell from the high sky to the middle of basket-like grass and was enveloped by the grass. The vulture flew down and searched carefully

The Crowned White Wolf (Book Two)

The Crowned White Wolf (Book Two)

Individual vampires don't care about each other or whether they die or are left behind. On the horizon were hundreds of SUVs, and Alexi could clearly see them from the air. Night vision is one of wolves' most valuable traits. Alexi headed to the front gate, trying to clear a path for the reinforcements. Cordelia watched Alexi and then looked at the horizon and mimicked what Alexi was doing. Horror crossed Alexi's face when she witnessed a missile target and it explode into one of the SUV's: Time seemed to have stopped along with Alexi's heart. There was so much that she lost in her life; she prayed that her brothers and father were not in that car. Alexi wondered if one more loss was too muc

The First Heir

The First Heir

Philip guessed Vulture’s thoughts and sneered, “You want to know what happened to your companion? Too bad, he’s dead.” How was that possible? When Philip said this, Vulture was full of disbelief. His body suddenly stiffened! He twisted his head and saw North Wolf lying in a pool of blood! Moreover, his true face was revealed! A trace of panic flashed across Vulture’s face. He hurriedly touched his cheek, then sat on the ground like a deflated balloon. He was laughing miserably.

such an awesome story, very well written. this latest twist of him going back to ancestral land, genius, but I don't like that Phillip lost all his skills and boons! including verge tower!!! I'm hoping this is all just a twist, he'll gain it all back. oh, I do wish you could load more than 1 daily

Incredible story and the language used is very simple and easy to understand, that makes the story more interesting.. I started to read 2 months back and still wait everyday for updates, in between I read 3 novels but nothing can be compared to "THE FIRST HEIR".. Mind blowing and Facinating...

The Children of Thunder

The Children of Thunder

Omotola felt herself once again being carried across a dusky sky on strong hardy wings, but the wings were not her own, it belonged to a white-backed vulture, she was the vulture and yet not the vulture, she felt like she was just sharing passage, just an observer and not the one behind the wheel. she soared effortlessly on; her keen gaze swept over the West African savannah below, missing nothing.

THE DEVILS CASTLE

THE DEVILS CASTLE

She started cursing incessantly when they resumed firing. "Son of a slob! What brought the Vulture's men to this location? Underneath her ash-covered face, Mike could clearly sense her fear and hatred. “Vulture?” Under his breath, Mike murmured the phrase. He was well aware that she was referring to a title rather than the bird. Anyone with such a title did not appear to be nice. Vultures were well-known in the animal kingdom for preying on dead bodies and eating their flesh. If someone had such a title... Mike thought unconsciously of the headless body that had fallen, and his own body stiffened.

Wolfblood

Wolfblood

My howls turned more agonizing as I went into a bad place. And then, miraculously, the wolf stopped as his entire body came crashing down on top of me. I yelped from the impact of a grown man’s full weight hitting my body. Once I recovered, I opened my eyes to see Alex holding an entire bloodied vertebral column with his claws, clearly ripped from the wolf’s body. I instantly pushed the dead man off me and sprinted away as Alex threw the vertebrae away and held off the other three wolves, one of whom looked like he wouldn’t get too far as a bloody puddle formed under him and he eventually turned human, dropping to the ground.

I thought this book was well developed and I loved how it the story contined on involving both Alex and Blake's pack. I felt this story had more self reflection and perhaps self doubt with some of the MCs. But, honestly I think that is what made the bonds stronger and independently grow.

This book is already so much better than the first. I'm hoping that Jasmine doesn't remain a doormat with Lucy and she gets her comeuppance. I also hope Luke regrets his decision and becomes jealous. Jasmine deserves better than those 2. love Blake! Talia and Alex story definitely intriguing.

Vows of Graphite and Guilt

Vows of Graphite and Guilt

A deafening, mechanical roar ripped through the vault as forty pounds of compressed air from The Vanguard’s basement lines dumped directly into the brass tube behind the drive. For a terrifying half-second, the drive resisted. The silk shrieked against the old brass sleeve, a sound like tearing metal. But then, a massive, deep THUMP echoed within the masonry. The vacuum caught. The drive vanished into the ceiling with a sudden, violent kinetic snap, the sound of its flight fading into a rapidly ascending whistle that traveled deep beneath the concrete of the city streets, moving at thirty miles an hour toward the West Side. The brass tube rumbled, then fell silent.

Rejected By The Alpha, Desired By The Immortal King

Just waiting. And Nyxara had just ripped the seal wide open. --- Something woke in the deep. Not with rage. With hunger. Like roots that remember blood. “We need to move,” I said. “You feel it too,” she replied. “Yes.” “You knew this would happen.” “I did.” “And you didn’t stop me.” “There’s no stopping a fire once it chooses to rise.” --- We reached a clearing just as the sky blackened. Not at night. With wings. Hundreds of crows screamed into the air, circling once before scattering—

Obsessed (Book #12 in the Vampire Journals)

Sadie turned away, not able to cope with the images in front of her. Then she saw the man point towards the direction of the Hudson river, and one by one the vampires took to the sky, following whatever command he’d given them. Sadie gasped as she watched them soar into the air like a flock of enormous, deadly birds. Vultures, she thought. They’re nothing more than vultures. Sadie finally reached her car and leapt inside. The voice of the police chief was sounding out from the radio, frantically asking for information.
