THE MATING/MARRIAGE CEREMONY

"We are gathered here tonight for the traditional ceremony to join these two mates together as one and to call them in as your new Alpha and Luna", Alpha Declan announced to the pack as they all stood and watched under the moonlight as they witnessed another mating ceremony and a start of a new Alpha and Luna.

"Step forward Lucien", Alpha Declan said to his son, "and you too Rebekah", he said to his son's mate as they both stepped forward with smiles on their faces."You may proceed with the rituals", Alpha Declan said to them as he handed them a special knife called the Bon Blade to carry out the next step.

There are different ways to do the mating ceremony of an Alpha and Luna but there's were indeed special and a bit different. Lucien was the one to go first, "your hand my lady", he teased Rebekah a bit as she outstretched her hand while giggling softly. Lucien smiled and held her hands in his as he sliced to her palms, not too deep though but enough to draw out some blood. And when he was done, Rebekah took the Bond Blade from him and did the same to him and then they let their blood drip from their hand as they held it together tightly and it dripped on a sacred stone. This tradition has been going on for years in the Thunder Pack and they weren't stopping now. Prayers to the Moon Goddess were said by everyone in the pack as Lucien and Rebekah joined their hands and blood together.

After some minutes, "It is done", Alpha Declan, Lucien's father said as they let go of their hands. Alpha Declan proceeded to pass the Alpha title down to his son. He knew his son was ready and now with a mate to seal it up, even though she was an Omega, They were glad he had one and they prayed to the Moon Goddess that everything go well without any complications, especially complications that have to do with pups. Alpha Declan stood in front of his son and removed the ring from his finger, "Your hand son", he said calmly as Lucien brought out his hand to his father and his father wore him the ring."This is a ring worn by men in our family. The Alpha of the Thunder Pack had worn this and it's passed from generations and generations to each Alpha heir and now I am giving this to you and giving you the title as the Alpha of the Thunder Pack", his father said with a proud smile as Lucien nodded.

"You may Introduce yourself to your Pack", Lucien's father said to him, stepping aside and letting his son take over.

Lucien thanked his father and outstretched his hands for Rebekah to join him and she smiled as she took his hand, moving forward with her mate. But as soon as she joined hands with him and moved forward, someone threw an egg at her, It hit her forehead and cracked open, spilling the egg on her face and dress and Rebekah groaned at the impact. Lucien did not notice it on time or he would have shielded her, he turned and looked at her and then back at the crowd.

"Who threw that egg at their Luna?", Lucien's father asked angrily before Lucien could. Everyone was silent and no one dared move.

"You heard and I need your mouth to work, Who threw that egg at their Luna", Lucien barked out making everyone start murmuring and looking around.

Someone had already given Rebekah a cloth and she used it to wipe herself clean. She pulled Lucien's hand, softly, drawing his attention and he turned to her, touching her face and asking, "Are you okay?".

Rebekah smiled at him and nodded, "I'm fine, let's just continue with the ceremony, it's fine".

"No it is not fine, does that person have a death wish? I won't let anyone disrespect you", He said to her softly but with disgust laced in his tone.

"Let it be", Rebekah said shaking her head at any of his protests, "Let's go on with the ceremony and say your speech".

Lucien made a face like he was not comfortable with the whole thing and turned to the crowd, "I would go on with what I have to say, and you all" Before he could finish another egg was thrown at Rebekah again and that did it. This time around, Lucien spotted the person.

"No need to run, step out", Lucien said darkly with his eyes fixed on the lady that threw the egg, "I said step out, come here, to the front", he said with his finger as everyone made way and the lady was standing on her on.

"She is no Luna of mine and she will never be my Luna, Look at her, she's nothing compared to what and how Lunas are", The lady said proudly as she sized Rebekah from head to toe in detest.

"And you think you are what a Luna should me?", Lucien asked with a raised brow as he stepped down and went towards the lady. This time, Rebekah let him, she was being such a bitch and whatever comes her way will be well deserved.

"Yes I would be", the Lady said as she looked at Lucien in his face, She had no regard or respect and still boldly spoke with no fear. He was their Alpha and this won't look good in front of the pack.

"Submit", Lucien said this one word so strongly that even the lady could not resist and fell to her knees immediately, "look at me", Lucien ordered as the lady raised her face, now the fear was slowly coming and all her boldness were draining off and Lucien could see it in her eyes, "I am your Alpha and when I speak to you, I expect you to have some respect when you answer, is that clear and I have a ceremony to go back too and a mate, my Luna, my mate, so you, I will see to you later".

Lucien did not even allow her to speak as he called the guards to take her away. But the Lady resisted, screaming and shouting that she had something to say, "Please Alpha Lucien, listen to me, I have something to confess, please", she pleaded.

"Let her speak", he said to the guards as they held her in one place.

"The Luna, she's fake, she drugged you, she did something to you to make you believe that you are her mate", the Lady said, drawing attention from everyone and most especially Rebekah.

Because this lady had said something truthful and Rebekah knew it! Things weren't going well for her now, were they?
