A small gasp escaped my lips when I sighted something move really fast in the sky. Oh my God! It's a shooting star! I stared at it in awe, it was so beautiful. 'Make a wish' Closing my eyes I took in a deep breath. "I-I wish.. i would finally be happy for once in my life." Opening my eyes, I watched as the star moved pass me. I closed my eyes and smiled, feeling like things are going to be okay for me. I would finally be happy.

I thought about my life as a princess. I looked at Grandma. " My first wish, I wish to know more about my past," I said quietly. Grandma looked at me with a serious face for a moment, then she nodded. "You will learn more about your past, my princess, what's your second wish" she asked softly. "I will tell you later in the day." I replied her She smiled and faced the crowd "let celebrate it the princess day ." The crowd cheered, and everyone started clapping. "Happy birthday, Princess Sofia!" they shouted.

“I just want my little boy back. I want to smell his hair and hear him argue with Sofia over the last pancake. I want to watch him fall asleep on Adrian’s chest during movie night. I want the boring life again.” Gemma reached over and laced her fingers through mine. “You’ll get it again. I swear on everything, you will.” Outside, Sofia ran up to the glass door, cheeks pink, curls wild, holding up a dandelion puff. “Mommy! Make a wish!” I forced myself out of the chair and opened the door. She thrusted the dandelion at me like it was the most precious thing in the world. I closed my eyes and blew. All the seeds scattered into the sunlight.

Sofia whispered, utterly astonished by the magical scene. Leonardo tore his gaze away from her beautiful face for a moment to glance upwards. Although the view was truly enchanting, he knew that his surprise was far from over. "Baby girl, look there," he said, pointing toward the eastern horizon. Sofia gasped, her hand instinctively covering her mouth in surprise. As she followed Leonardo's gaze, she noticed words beginning to shine in the dark sky, forming a question that his heart had longed to ask for so many days.

“For them.” She took it gingerly. “Thank you.” Our fingers brushed. A tremor zipped up my arm. Her eyes flicked away first. Sofia demanded I sit beside her at the picnic table. Carl tolerated my presence but kept his body angled protectively toward his sister. “Make a wish!” someone shouted. Sofia closed her eyes, then blew out the candles. When she opened them she looked straight at me. “I wished you’d stay for cake.” A ripple of chuckles rolled through the adults. I felt my ears heat.

She wanted to lose herself in him, to forget the warnings and the fears that had plagued her. But as his lips left hers to trail down her neck, a single thought broke through the haze of desire. Amber! Her words and warning came surging into her in heavy, unbearable waves that she could not ignore. “Ethan,” she said breathlessly, placing a hand on his chest to stop him. He pulled back slightly, his brows furrowing as he looked at her. “What is wrong?” Sofia hesitated, her heart pounding as she struggled to find the words. “I… I need to know what this is,” she said finally, her voice trembling. “What am I to you?”

Sofia's POV "Miss Sofia," the maid's voice cut through the haze of my groggy thoughts, gently pulling me back to the present. "Y—yes," I stammered, a shiver racing down my spine as if the air had suddenly grown colder. "I'll take you to your room. Once you're feeling better, I’ll show you around and explain what Mr Alex doesn’t want us to do.” she said, and the sudden urge to puke enveloped me, the disgusting thought of living under the rules of that bastard made my insides retch.

Stephen started to say but I cut him off. "I didn't make a mistake. The witch told me that my beloved would be strong and unique. Sofia is the most unique being in the world. She is the only being that is part witch, vampire, and wolf. I know she is my beloved. Her birthday is only two days away," I said
