Where Demons Hide Novels & Stories

Lucas starts but I stop him. “She said this demon is hiding in abandoned buildings and some of the bodies found were consumed by rats. Sound familiar?”

" he looked down a bit sheepish and I laughed. "Thats why we could never play hide and seek after that, somehow I always knew where you were." so many things are starting to make sense now. he says "Yeah and do you remember when we got lost in the woods." I laughed harder now. "We weren't lost we went in that hunting blind we found, and Mike swore there were demons dancing on the roof he scared the crap out of me." tears were rolling down my face from the laughter. "All those storied told by our parents to keep us out of the woods about the virgin forest being haunted." he gasps out through his own laughter. "It didn't help we watched that stupid movie the night before and knew we were close

She flipped through the channels until she settled on someone singing about Demons. “When you feel my heat, Look into my eyes It’s where my demons hide, Don’t get too close It’s dark inside It’s where my demons hide At the curtain’s call, It’s the last of all When the lights fade out, All the sinners crawl So they dug your grave—” I was so lost in the song and those words that Daisy had to touch my shoulder to get my attention. “You okay?” I nodded. ‘This song... It’s very beautiful.’

Evelyn has seen mages, elves, dragons, giants, and goblins in this other world, but not demons. Demons are a collective term for all the foul and unclean demons of the Abyss that grow in the Old Realm, cut off from all time and space, and are the offspring of the Old Gods. Thousands of years ago, the Old Gods were overthrown by the New Gods and banished to the Old Realm, and it is the New God system that the off-world continent Evelyn is on believes in.

He stood at the entrance, ready to embark on his daring quest. As he approached the gates, the shapeless demons sensed his presence and began to materialize, their forms shifting and contorting in the darkness. Their eyes glowed with an eerie light, and their mouths twisted into wicked grins. Azazel knew that defeating these demons would not be an easy task, but he was prepared to face any challenge to reach his love Azrael.

He put a cookie in his mouth and wiggled his fingers creating a pattern in the air made of smoke. “There are many demons in this land, and I don't mean here in Lutetia, I mean all over the world.” A drawing of the world map appeared among the smoke, but then disappeared. “I haven't lived long, compared to other demons I'm almost a teenager, but there are some things I know. One is that there are a lot of demons out there; they range from small guardians of the seasons to guardians of the true temples of the Astros. I am of a somewhat rare species, as well as being the only species that bears the name 'demon'."

*Somewhere in Ottawa* The dreaded 100 year demon walked endlessly around the woods. He had no particular place to be at but he had an aim after awakening. His hands were at his back, on his black cloak and his black veins dilated to the surface of his pale skin. Humans suddenly stopped in front of him and he let out a very evil smirk on noticing they had an ulterior motive. "We are just returning with our kill. Please spare our lives" one of them that looked like a hunter said and the rest fell to their knees bowing and begging for pardon

Growl! I look up at the sky and see some dark things coming down. Even without being told I know what they are. I quickly entered the ruined house to hide. Demons can't see me especially and I'm alone in this part. I am at a disadvantage against a flying demon. Even though Honey's house is destroyed, I can still hide it. And besides, I don't have time to run away because I'm sure they'll see me if I do. The house is a traditional Japanese house so the only thing I can hide there is a wall made of translucent paper placed in a lattice frame.

This one has higher intelligence than the ones earlier. I squinted my eyes into a slit. "Grahhh!" It darted away towards the deeper part of the forest. I followed it and soon; I felt more presence of demonic beasts in the area. My forehead furrowed together. Did the demonic beasts know how to hide their auras? Ah, this is troublesome. They surrounded me, but they remained hiding in the dark. I counted there were twenty of them. "They seemed wary of you," Light chuckled.

***HoGuo Temple*** Even from a distance, the entrance of HoGuo Temple was visible in all it’s glory. It was not grand in terms of luxury but more of splendour in terms of heritage it represents over the centuries. Legend has it that this temple was once a home to the gods which lived on Earth during their trials and the descendants of those gods would come to this temple to pay homage to their ancestors. This temple is also said to have artifacts locked away which used to belong to those very gods and goddesses of old. However those artifacts are not open to the public eye and the monks that reside in the temple have never revealed any of it’s secrets. Many have tried to break into the templ
