The silence he left behind felt louder than any music that ever played in the club.
The door burst open with a soft creak and a breath of stale perfume. Cherry stepped in, heels in one hand, her wig in the other, cheeks still flushed from the prep rush. Raven sat at the vanity, brushing powder over a fading bruise. Ivy was on the couch, staring at nothing, her elbow resting on her knee, chin propped in her hand.
“Yo,” Cherry said, flopping onto the arm of the couch. “Guess who strutted into the club like he owned the place?”
