Faelon shook his head and growled, "I'm a mixed breed." "Welcome to the club," I muttered and showed him my shifted Lycan hand. "Impressive," he grunted and tilted his head once again like he was listening to someone speaking.

I shifted into my White Lycan. “Ready Xyla?” “Yes, let’s kill this mutt” Xyla said letting out an enormous growl. Without wasting time, the rouge charged at me, I dodged him, the wolf crashed into a tree. The wolf briefly whimpered before making an attempt to bite my neck. I immediately moved away and bit into its front leg. He let out a whimper of pain that I could hear. The wolf hit the ground and that when I use my claws and scratch it across his stomach. Blood was oozing out, I bit into the throat of that wolf until I heard a snap of the bone. My white fur became stained with blood as I pulled away.

I took a step closer, and the moment I saw what it was, I gasped. It was the Fang of Velkar. Hope burst in my throat as I rushed at it. It was lodged in the trunk of a tree encircled by bones. As quickly as I could, I reached for it. It thrummed in my hands, and perhaps if I had a moments worth of peace, I would have appreciated how beautiful it truly was. I had barely held the blade in my hands before something happened. One minute the forest was peaceful and quiet, and the next, the ground shook. A gutteral groan came from the belly of the forest and I just knew it couldn't be anything good.

The ground trembled, cracks splitting the dirt. Pain shot through me as my body shifted, bones snapping, skin splitting, fur sprouting. A fierce white glow consumed me. And then I took on Maya’s form. My blazing, white wolf form stood tall, trembling with newfound strength. The evil witch hurled curse after curse, but my shield held. I raced toward her, a blur of white fire. I heard Eliza again. “Use your Fang, Girl.” Without hesitation, I leapt, sinking my fangs deep into the witch’s side. She howled in agony, her hood slipping off, revealing a lean, twisted face, ancient and cruel.

But she couldn’t explain it away, not when she looked at his mouth from which two teeth were protruding now. No, not teeth. Fangs! Pointy, sharp fangs like those of an animal. Like a Sabertooth tiger. She couldn’t think it, no, because to think it made it real. It couldn’t be real. It didn’t exist. He didn’t exist, not like that.

They scrambled out before she finished her sentence, what had bothered them the most wasn't death but the torture before it. It is rumored Alicia could use the "Sage of the spirit", an extremely brutal stone-like fruit rarely ever found which could cause unimaginable pain and intense hallucinations when used on a vampire.
