Traci’s POV I sat down at the table tucked off to the side of the room and carefully opened the old book to the first page. The cover looked ancient, but the writing inside was surprisingly clear. It really didn’t say much at first. The opening pages explained that the White Wolf was blessed directly by the Moon Goddess herself and that every White Wolf was considered one of her children.

I sold the only ring Mom had left me for cash and headed to the abandoned slaughterhouse, just like they'd instructed. The place had been empty for years, its walls smeared with blood and rust, making it look more like a sacrificial altar. The second I walked in, the sharp, iron stench of blood hit me hard. Carly stood there, clutching White Fang. A silver chain dug into his neck, and his paws dangled in the air as he struggled desperately. Yet, she held him tight, like some stolen prize, while he let out weak, whimpering cries. She lifted his chin with her nail and murmured, "Soon, he won't even remember you."

It made her realize that the little days they were together made them know each other a little too deep and it made her question herself; What were they? She would have simply said they were friends, maybe good ones at that, but it didn’t look so. There is a limit to what a friend can do but his was beyond that. He did things for her without holding back and not minding if it was inconvenient for him. The day he went with her to the wedding and the night when he had saved her, he was her knight in shining fangs_ Fangs because he is a vampire.

Books lay open across the desk, and papers covered almost every available surface. I reached for another old book that had been tucked away at the very back of one of the shelves. Unlike the others, it was noticeably thinner, its leather cover faded with age. As I brushed away the dust that had settled over it, three words slowly came into view. The White Wolves. My heartbeat quickened as I stared at the title for a brief moment before opening the book without wasting another second. “Finally.” The first few pages were filled with handwritten accounts describing the White Wolves as though they had truly existed.

Instead, they’d walked into an ambush. A sharp howl echoed from the far side of the trail. I looked up just in time to see one of Ralph’s remaining warriors shift into his wolf. The gray wolf burst through a gap between two trees. One of my warriors started after him. I raised a hand. “No.” The wolf was already too far ahead. By the time we’d catch him, we’d leave the boys, the prisoners, and our own men exposed. Not worth it. Our mission hadn’t changed. Recover the boys. Secure the prisoners. Leave.

Jack is an alpha, whereas Brian is a beta. My wolf wants Jack, but I'm not sure exactly where he is because I can't see him. I move in my seat, making the seam of my jeans rub against me indescribably. I sigh in pain when I feel it, and then I hear someone move a few feet away. "Brian, damn it! She's awake now. If I keep needing to take it at this rate, I'll run out of wolfsbane". "We're almost there. Brian declares "Don't you worry about a thing, my horny friend."

Then another.... I did not like it.... But I understood it.... “Fine” I said coldly. “But I stay” Maria moved toward the back room, retrieving an old book bound in cracked leather. She hesitated only once before locking the shop. “Uhm... What's a strigoi?“ Lyra asked and Maria looked at her too and said.

Where did he go? No normal wolf was that fast!! I stopped and looked around Not even a single movement could be heard. There was pindrop silence Just like the deafening silence before an upcoming storm. Then I heard heavy steps coming towards me and next I knew I was pushed to the ground by something big. I opened my eyes to see a big white wolf howering over me with baby blue eyes. His eyes were focussed at me and his nose flared in anger. I knew these eyes . The white fur and the royal black mark on his forehead gave away his identity

I ask, my voice victim to the fear I feel. “The border between White Fang and Black Forest was compromised. Two wolves were taken down. One got through, and he’s headed for the packhouse.”

That caught his attention for sure. Sharon was one of the weird people too. She loved anything that had something to do with BL fanfiction. Liam had previously learned what that was from a conversation they had when Sharon was doing her daily life snooping. To say she was excited when she found out Liam was gay would be an understatement. She always exaggerates everything, but who was he to judge? “There’s this nightclub called Blood Bank. I heard there were vampires there. It's where kinky things go down.” Becky looked at Sharon questionly. “Yeah right, that's just a rumor.”
