I search her face, study every inch.
This is what I’ll come back to, what I’ll remember if things get mixed up in the Goddess’s plane.
Once Aspen moves away, Hazel takes her place. Her hands land on my chest, and her eyes close.
“I still think we should have told Liam.” Mia whispers to my side, placing her hand gently on my shoulder, as the world starts spinning.
“He has enough to worry about right now.” Dallas says, coming up behind Mia to watch me die.
The world spins faster, and all I know is the last face I see before I die is not Dallas’s. I turn my head, looking for her, my mate.
