It screeched in her ear and spurted black ink onto her face. But that didn’t delay her from pulling a knife from under her dress and driving it into the demon’s core. Before the creature could even process what happened to it, Rose was already hunting another one. "Oh, Rose!” a familiar voice called out to her and Rose twisted around, trying to find it.
