The Love I Couldn't See
My voice rang like a bell.
Two of my guards stepped into the room. “Yes, ma’am?”
A slow smile crept onto my lips. “Grab him.”
Carl’s eyes widened. “Wait, what?”
The guards moved without hesitation. Carl thrashed, but it was useless. He was just a driver. A small, insignificant pawn in a game far beyond his understanding.
“If Edward doesn’t trust you enough to tell you where he’s going, then you are useless to me,” He tried to break free, but his struggles were just amusing to me.
