Why Do People Love Reading Novels & Stories

I bought so many books that I had to build a mini-library in the shop, and that's when Henry began to read them as well. But there was one thing I noticed about the books he was reading. It was always those "abandoned by the woman he loves, so the male lead gets revenge by getting stronger," type. People, in my opinion, read novels that describe a tale that is similar yet wildly different from their own. People who want to fall in love read romance novels, while those who want to be adventurous read adventure tag books. So I had a feeling. "Say, Henry, have you been rejected by your crush or something?" As soon as I asked, Henry had the book in his hands.

I have no desire to interact with them, let alone form any togetherness. It doesn’t matter. No one questions me, not that I care, because I block it all out and start reading Bunny, a book I have been meaning to start for a while now. The thing I love the most about reading is how the world outside me fades and I am thrust into the world in front of me. That’s how I can shut out everyone, not even noticing the person who has been looking at me, the jabs thrown my way, or even the frustration once the jabs miss the mark and do not rouse the desired reaction.

Books are oxygen for the literate. For me, there's no other way to breathe. Breathing comes naturally to living organisms. For a nerd with a perfect attendance record and zero friends, air fills my lungs, and words fill my head. I like filling my head with facts, opinions, and fanfiction. There's nothing better than reading Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfics on a Friday night.

I laugh again. "It's so overly done and used, two people who love each other but are too stuck up to admit their love? Why do you like it so much?' "That's just it. I don't like the book itself, perse, but I love how it alone can bring out all these individual interpretations and perspectives of anyone who reads it." I pointed down at him. "And that is why it's my favourite." He nodded his head in response. "What?" "Now that's beautiful."

Sprinted to the door, I pulled it open, not expecting it to open, but it did, causing my heart to swell in joy. Ambling to the shelf, my eyes darted round the various book covers. Fiction was my favorite book to read because the best thing about reading was to be able to escape from your life, to be able to read hundreds or even thousands of other lives. Non-fiction does not have that power, it does not change you the way fiction does. To me, if you are not affected somehow, even if it is the slightest change, you are not reading the right book. I would love to think that every novel I have read has become a part of me and created who I am in a sense.

Someone had asked her this very question before. "I do not know why I read." Micah said calmly after giving the question a thought. Drigo smiled wearily. "I read because I love to gather knowledge. I like to chip in words that people cannot comprehend and watch them stutter while trying to fathom the meaning of the words I speak. I read because…it is the only thing that gives me value in this palace; without my knowledge…I am nothing." His words wormed their way into Micah's skull. "Maybe you read because you see it as an option to drive away loneliness. You and your thoughts woven into a book, left to your imagination… quite entertaining."

The problems that arose were a test of their genuine love. Emily's main goal was to visit her favorite bookstore, buying novels from some of her favorite authors to add to her personal collection. Even though there were now many e-book reading apps available, Emily didn't feel satisfied unless she had the physical copies of the books. Reading e-books was far more flexible, as she could read them anywhere without the hassle of carrying physical books.

Alex was also opinionated about the books he read, and most dinners were spent debating over the author’s intent when it came to certain texts. Eddie found she enjoyed her dinners with Alex. She never had anyone to discuss books with before. Neither Thackeray nor Lily read more than what was required in school. Thackeray was too busy with his physical studies, swordplay and whatnot, to have time to read. Lily wasn’t interested. She enjoyed embroidery and horseback riding and found reading a rather “dull activity.” But Alex enjoyed reading. He loved talking about books with her and even suggested going picnicking and reading outside since the weather was nice. He loved and hated the same auth

This can't be happening. “Is this a prank?” I frown, looking around the car for a hidden camera. He sighs. “You won't ever believe that I like you, right?” “Why should I? You hate me.” “I don't.” He shakes his head. “I love verbally sparring with you, so much that it has become a nasty habit.” “I'm glad you know you have a nasty habit.” He smiles as he nods. “I know, Raven, just as I know how much I want and love you.”
