I Love To Read Novels & Stories

Sprinted to the door, I pulled it open, not expecting it to open, but it did, causing my heart to swell in joy. Ambling to the shelf, my eyes darted round the various book covers. Fiction was my favorite book to read because the best thing about reading was to be able to escape from your life, to be able to read hundreds or even thousands of other lives. Non-fiction does not have that power, it does not change you the way fiction does. To me, if you are not affected somehow, even if it is the slightest change, you are not reading the right book. I would love to think that every novel I have read has become a part of me and created who I am in a sense.

At peace. Reading does something amazing for me. It helps me escape into a world of my own making, a world filled with love, laughter, joy, and endless happiness. A far cry from the reality we live in. The real world is full of struggles and pain, laughter mixed with tears, pleasure woven with misery, love sometimes battling with hatred. If I could wish for one thing right now, it would be love. True love. Because I believe that real love brings fulfillment, happiness, and peace. It makes everything feel lighter, and you can just breathe easier. It makes you feel like you belong.

Just a deep green fabric stretched tight over the boards that bind the book together. "Interesting..." She thumbs through the pages, stopping to read a couple every so often. "I had no idea you liked to read." Say says, handing it back to me. I have always loved to read, it's another trait my sister and I share, but it's not one I share freely with the world. Not because I think it makes me less cool or some shit, but just because it never seems like relevant information at any given time. I shrug. "I have always liked to read. I guess it's about finding time."

" Yes, I do love to read books.." I have always loved reading books. In my childhood, my mom and then my grandma both used to read me books. I have loved books since my very young days. When mom passed away, I used to read the books she read to me over and over. It somehow made me cope with the situation. Whenever I used to read books, I had always felt my mom and grandma live within me. " Perfect! I have a place for you then!" He smiles as he gestures me to go in front of him.

I never imagined it would end up here. "We've been talking for a while and I still don't know your name, sweetie" His voice pulls me out of my ponderings, and I blink a couple of times to wake up and get back to the real world. I don't like other people calling me a sweetie or any other nickname; I just like it when he does it, when he did it.

For some reason, I couldn't find my voice. I read about love in romance books. They were actually my favorite books to read —which made it pretty ironic that I couldn't bear to hear the topic whenever it was brought up. Why was I comfortable reading about it in books but not when it was mentioned? Probably because reading it was one thing and experiencing it in real life was another. When I read about the feelings associated with love, it intrigued me. That a single four-lettered word could make someone experience a myriad of emotions both good and bad was an utter mystery.
