Seeing the boy weep his heart out, she panicked. “H-hey, please stop crying,” she said, trying to calm him but aside from her words no longer getting through because of his sobbing, she’s afraid touching him will just aggravate him more. Just then, a familiar series of beeps from punching in the passcode sounded from the door along with the musical beeping as it opened. And obviously, as the door opened, Jeffrey’s cries that reverberated from all four corners of the room also reached the door. “What’s going on here?”

"Why... why did he cry?" "I don’t know," Ted shrugged, his hands open in helplessness, though his voice carried a deep compassion. "He was all alone in that basement room, holding your photo, crying like he couldn’t stop. I saw him the day before yesterday, crying the whole day. Yesterday, he wore sunglasses so I wouldn’t see how swollen his eyes were, but I still heard him. You know, hearing that... even I, as his subordinate, couldn’t help but feel heartbroken."

I hadn't even realized I was crying. The worry in Bryson's eyes turned to full panic. "What is it? What's wrong? Are you hurt?" His questions kept firing. I shook my head. "No…it's just…it's just…that's so sad. That poor Luna." A sob shook my chest and I watched as Bryson's panic turned to compassion. Actually, it seems like Alex felt sorry for him. He saw how chairman Charles was worried and also a bit frustrated. He saw the malice in the eyes of chairman Charles's wife and the disgust in the eyes of her two daughters.

Screams after scream break out of my lips as I struggle furiously in their hold, refusing to accept. Pain rakes through my body as I jerk in their arms, causing their fangs to sink deeper. “LET GO OF ME!!! PLEASE!!!” I scream, tears rolling down my eyes. The knowledge that they are going to die is so fresh in my head that it has me bursting into sobs. “You are ours. Nothing will change that, not even you.” Tyler growls, eyes brimming red as he snatches me by the elbow. “You do—nt understand.” I mutter, my voice cracking as more tears runs down my cheeks. Ryler’s tongue darts out running the wet skin along my cheeks, swiping off my tears. “Now, now princess we can’t have you crying.” he rasps

So I went near her. “Ignore him. He will be fine when you give him a grandchild. No parents can be offended with their children when they see the faces of their grandchildren. So chill. It's just a matter of six months then everything will be fine.” Saying that I hugged her from the side and eyed Alex to take care of his mate. As I was terrible at consoling people. “Stop crying, Beatrix. You will fall sick. At least for the sake of our child.” Alex held her in his arms and she kept crying, placing her head on his chest.

Now she was trapped in one. Her eyes fluttered open as we entered. “Oh, good.” My mother blinked. “Good?” Billie gestured weakly around the room. “Everyone’s already crying. You look like you’ve attended my funeral already, Mom.” A shocked laugh escaped Tyler. Then another. Suddenly we were all laughing through tears—raw, desperate, grateful laughter. Because that was Billie. In pain,Scared, Dying and still trying to hold us together. “You collapsed,” I said, moving to her bedside.

We have our rooms, our offices, everything we need, but under strict conditions. My boots thud softly against the polished floor as I hum a tune under my breath, trying to distract myself. But the sound of muffled crying stops me in my tracks. I freeze. No way. That can’t be Ryder. Ryder doesn’t cry. He’s the strongest man I know. Hell, the guy didn’t shed a single tear when his neck was nearly ripped open during training, he stood stoic, unshaken. But now… I step closer to his door, straining to hear, and the sound of broken sobs grows louder.
