Before I could get inside, a vice-like hand closed around my wrist. Rick. His hand was like a vice, his fingers digging deep into my skin. "Are you fucking kidding me?" he hissed, his voice low enough to be menacing. "To the death? Did you even consider asking me before deciding that?" I put a hand on his arm, attempting to stabilize him. "Don't worry. I've got this."

“Let go and pester me again?” Pain flashed in his face as I continued to twist his fingers. “Let go of me!” he squeaked. “Ow. That hurts! Not letting him go, I turned my gaze and saw people were already watching in our direction. “The next time you put your dirty hands on me, you won’t be needing these fingers. You got that?” I growled. A tear escaped from Rick’s eyes and nodded. I shoved his hands away. “Don’t let me see your face. You’re ruining my mood.” And before I could tell him the second time, he scrambled away from me as if someone was after his life.

Like he would rather be anywhere but here, but he couldn’t just stand up and walk out now could he. “Yeah, she was really nice, did I say that before, well she really was.” Rick continued. “So, what’s the plan now?” Ty asked, glancing at Rick’s injured leg, he clearly couldn’t continue with the tournament. “I’m sorry about the leg. If I was a bit quicker and decisive in combat, I could have prevented it.”

Both his hands held onto me as his claws were trying to dig a hole in my skin. “You should have died peacefully brother when I gave you that chance, but I guess you wanted me to shred your entire skin into pieces and feed it out to the vultures!” I threatened Ricky in a low tone that was only audible to him, his eyes were dark and fearless, he gave me no reply rather a smirk curled up his lips. With all his might he stretched his hand that was formed into a fist ball at me, but I was quick to dodge and my fist landed at him instead.

“Son, I know you have your reasons to fight him, but he is still your brother, and you have much more important things to deal with.” He gestured to Rick, who was lying on the floor, bruised and bleeding. “Get up, you lazy piece of shit, stop picking on your brother, he is going through a lot right now, his wife lost their baby.” He said and Rick gasped. “You…you should have told me,” Rick muttered and got up from the floor, dusting his clothes, but I couldn’t help but notice the grin on his face, he was happy that I didn’t have an heir.

Rick's cold and piercing gaze had a hold on me, making my brain melt slowly and my body losing its power. The moment he called out my name, I just knew it was over, I just knew there was no escape again. As Rick came closer and closer to me in an attempt to search my body, I kept taking steps backwards too, hoping to escape. But he soon caught up with me and after swinging my hands which were hidden behind me to the front, to his disappointment, there was nothing in my hand. Confusion etched around his face, like he was sure I had something on me, but now he was wrong.
