I don't want my best friend to get involved in this mess. I couldn't sleep last night, and here I am, still having a hard time talking to them except for sir Darenn. "Kaelynn can you call sir Daryl and miss Ashley to come down already and to have dinner," Mila asked, and I nodded. I haven't spoken to any of them since this morning, and the entire mansion has been quiet since they buried those dead maids, but this is better; now they can finally rest and be at peace. I heard the new maids, who are all vampires, will be arriving tomorrow, so I'm hoping they won't be the ones to kill me.

"So, how soon can we get everyone organized?" "A few days." Elias shrugged. "I'd like to hit Nightshade in waves. We'll attack with the wolves first, and then the witches, and then the vampires will come in." A broad grin spread across his face. "They won't know what hit them." Eve nodded, reaching over and giving Elias's hand a gentle squeeze. "Sounds like a good plan." Elias smiled but casually pulled his hand away. My inner wolf was ready to tear out her throat. We spent the rest of the afternoon planning until it was dinner time.

"Is that so? I am just one step away from happiness. This is my last chance to become happy in this broken life of mine. I will not allow you to ruin it." After saying that, she approached me and wheeled me into the fire escape. I watched as the wheelchair neared the stairs. "Are you planning to kill me?" I asked. Upon letting out a long exhale, Selena released her grasp slowly. "That's nonsense. It was just a slip of the hand." My wheelchair started rolling forward on its own as Selena guffawed. Right before my wheelchair would roll down the stairs, I held the brakes. While propping myself up on the wheelchair, I rose to my feet.

It was surrounded by those 'walkers', stumbling around like they were in a trance. "What are they?" He breathed out, staring in disbelief. He chugged some water, letting out a sigh of hydrated relief. "They call them walkers." She pointed the screen down slightly to allow him to see easier and switched to the website she was reading. "There's information on them, finally." As Adam read, she watched his expression change from confused to terrified. "This is like an actual zombie movie." He spluttered, barely able to get his words out. Behind them, a stirring caught their attention.

I'd never love a woman with no brains like you! He pulled up the ladder entirely and disappeared into the vent. The zombies were getting closer now. I could hear their roars even from where I stood. I shot down a couple that got too close. Through the corner of my eye, I saw Yvonne stood petrified, and she was shaking all over. A zombie lunged at her. I thought it would tear her apart, but Yvonne rolled out of the way, then she snapped up a metal pipe and smashed it down on the zombie.

Before she realized what was happening, the zombie sank those newly formed fangs into Kendra’s forearm. Screaming from shock, fear, and pain, she struggled to free her arm. Taken by surprise, Rex wrestled for a few seconds to gather his wits. When he did, he wasted no time in leaping forward and driving his blade into the zombie’s temple. With its powerful fangs embedded into Kendra’s arm, when it slumped to the ground, the abomination took his wife down with it. “My arm,” Kendra wailed as she fell to her knees. “Those fangs are stuck in my arm. I think they’re in the bone!”

Late that night, I was roused by the loud revving of a car's engine. I peeked out of the curtains to see a car running over zombies as it sped forward before stopping outside a villa at the end of the road. A woman covered from head to toe got out of the car with a baby in her arms. She ran to the villa, but zombies intercepted her and tore them to shreds. I could vaguely hear the baby's cries, but when the zombies dispersed, all that was left was a pool of blood.

All of them were wielding weapons. It had mutated into something scary and disgusting. It was much more horrifying than the haggard, giant spider that was the old hag. Willow had a thought and said, "Let me test the waters." Purple light glowed in her eyes, and it shot right at the zombie monster that had just been put together. Its massive body had been moving forward and was stomping toward Chase and the others. However, it looked like it was turning away. The giant, old hag noticed this unexpected turn and roared angrily at the sky.

The other zombies in the cage did not pay much attention to them as they were busy licking the bones of the flesh they had just eaten. "Shoo! Go away!" Willow said to the zombie that was still staring at them a d was sniffing. "Oh my God! What will I do now? I do not like the looks in his eyes!" Willow said as her eyes darted to the food that they gave to her and Igor. An idea popped into her head immediately. She picked one of the paper bags and threw it at the zombie who caught hold of it immediately. He tore off the paper and began to eat the arm that was inside and he stopped paying attention to them.

"So not only did you flop the rescue, you forgot to lock the main door?" Heads swiveled. Willa started shaking, furious. "You're horrible! I was trying to save someone! You could've helped—he died because of you!" I stared like she'd lost her mind. "You're giving me way too much credit. You dragged a whole horde over here and thought what, I'd solo them? I figured you had some hidden power, the way you charged in. But that was it?" Zombies hit the sixth floor, clawing at the door.
