“I know it’s not nothing because you seem worried. Is everything okay?” Noah’s voice was gentle, his eyes focused on Grace’s demeanor.
Grace blew out a long breath, and then she said. “Before I came here, I was an editor of a magazine company, and I also worked as a lawyer, but I worked a short time for most part of both careers because I was also married to a husband that was always seeking my attention. I really don’t want to talk about Jack tonight, but I would just say that, for those few times I worked as both, my career took off, and I was sometimes in those shiny magazines whenever I had to do a feature.
