He walked briskly with businesslike purpose, but there was still something I didn’t like about him.
“Excuse me,” he started, speaking to Gracie. “I’m Sam Hollier with the Hollier Cross Agency. Are you a model?”
Gracie froze, gaping at him as she shook her head. “No.”
“You should be one,” he said smoothly, reaching into his pocket and producing a business card. “I’m an agent, and I’d love if we could set up a meeting some time.”
“I have no intention of being a model,” Gracie said, refusing to take his card. “Thank you for the offer, but no.”
