Dead Weight

Dead Weight

Assets = people. Then, on the circled page, two lines. Jin Kwon — reacted to DECAY as a charge, not a rumor. Classified by Marcus on sight. Marcus asked: what lab. And under it: LUS narrates the dead freely. Goes silent only on the living. Torres. Jin. She underlines the last one. The room is colder after she writes it. Outside, the base keeps being alive. A door eases shut. VIBE murmurs. The gate holds in the dark.

I Moan for My Ex’s Uncle

I Moan for My Ex’s Uncle

But I stood there patiently and played all my cards in Grace, keeping Winny alive. “Shit!” Grace hissed. Her hands trembled. She was knocking things off. I couldn’t blame her, I am feeling worse than she is right now, “Stay with me, Winny. Fucking stay with me!” She yelled as she lit a piece of cloth on fire and used it to burn her back. I couldn’t stand it anymore. Grace became worse, almost as if Winny would die. I left the room and paced around the door. What is the point? What if Winny dies? It’s going to be on me. I would be responsible for her death. Perhaps this is the cruel fate we both shared.

Guess Who Wins, Again

Guess Who Wins, Again

Bought me a $10 million penthouse in West Hill, too. "Face it—I'm the one winning this time." I stayed quiet, even as she jabbed her manicured finger into my forehead. When I didn't respond, she huffed, bored, then kicked me one more time for good measure before strutting away.

Deadly Game

Deadly Game

The linguistic scholar died. Before we could even reach the secondary stairwell, the massive, tinted glass windows of the living room shattered inward. A hail of high-velocity tactical rounds tore through the air, punching violent holes into the dark velvet couches and marble walls. Three heavily armed mercenaries, clad in matte-black tactical gear and Vance syndicate insignias, breached the shattered ledge using high-tension ziplines from an adjacent rooftop. Malakai returned fire instantly, his sidearm barking three times in rapid succession. The lead mercenary dropped hard against the broken glass, a tight cluster of crimson blooming across his chest.

I really like this book. It's very interesting and well written. However its ridiculously expensive. I spent $10 just to barely get through Levi and Dorianes story just to be left with a cliffhanger basically because it now shifts into Landons story when i just want a good ending to Levi's story.

Fun, finished, and flavorful. Good characterization, consistent writing, and not too long. Classic arc, but the wolf part is not ‘the’ story. Characters are also not infallible so that’s refreshing. Also no ‘training’ montage, or other filler content. Good work! Thanks for the adventure.

I Win You (Eng)

I Win You (Eng)

Prologue "Damn it...!" Vanilla cursed softly then asked the driver to take her to Beck's house. At Beck's front gate, Vanilla only needed to enter the security passcode without having to bother calling anyone to open the gate. Technology is now very sophisticated, everything can be accessed through a cellular phone. The girl also only had to enter the security code on the main door of the house where Beck lived and then took long strides towards the semicircular staircase in the middle of the room.

I Died, and My Four Targets Lost Their Minds

I Died, and My Four Targets Lost Their Minds

When I filled the bathtub with water and was about to sink myself under, Shiloh rushed in and dragged me up. "I won't let you die until you've paid back everything you owe Irvy!" she exclaimed. Her face was ashen. Yet, the system's notification sounded in my head. "Shiloh's affection toward you has reached 20 out of 100 points. You get 200 reward points. You may trade the points for a video revealing the truth."

Waiting for Love to Die

Waiting for Love to Die

Where would she find the strength to defend him? She frowned, her patience wearing thin as she brushed him off. "Get back in there and tell the media to shut down the livestream! Can't you see I have serious business to discuss with Leonel? "Nicolas, my company's survival is on the line. The last thing I need is you bothering me with your petty dramas!" Nicolas's eyes blazed with fury. He stormed back into the conference room, fuming yet unwilling, to order the broadcast shut down. Melissa took my hand in a gesture of peace. "Leon, let's not make things awkward between us. There's still a chance for our companies to work together, isn't there?"

Wrath

Wrath

“This shit will never end, Weasel, we’ll be fighting this battle for the rest of our lives. Assholes like Longshire are everywhere. You kill one man and two more pop up to take over the business. There's too much money at stake.” “It’s sick,” Weasel said. Jake shook his head. “People would say the same about me if they knew everything I’d done.” “Yeah, probably, but at least the sick things we do stops the sick things they do. In my book that’s a win, Wrath.” “I don’t disagree with you there, brother.”

End Game

End Game

Winthrop—the new substitute teacher. It was all jokes and banter from there on. ♧♧♧ A couple of hours later, the sun had shifted higher, heat pressing down heavier on our shoulders. We had decided to play some beach volleyball. We split into two teams—boys versus girls, with Declan being dramatically claimed by the girls because, according to Ellie, he had “traitor energy.” Whatever the hell the meant. The game was messy and fun and dramatic—you know, obviously, because the girls were involved.
