Goodbye, Summer: Love Has Come and Gone

Goodbye, Summer: Love Has Come and Gone

The head of the orphanage found me in the middle of the scorching summer, which was why he named me Theros Sommar. When Daisy learned of it, she then said that moving forward, the summer solstice every year would be my birthday. She then prepared birthday gifts for me and even baked a birthday cake for me to celebrate. Ever since my gastric bleeding the other day, she had forbidden me from drinking again. But the mood back then had been just right, so I pestered her until she gave in and allowed me to drink some red wine. One thing led to another, and that night, she finally gave herself wholly to me.

Summer Waves

Summer Waves

"He—hey," Sieghal stopped just as he opened his bedroom door when he heard someone call out to him. It was Kenna McWell. The guy looked awkward with their presence. Kenna seemed embarrassed about something, but Sieghal had no idea what made the usually enthusiastic kid look like that. It had been a while since they last met after starting work. Sieghal had noticed Kenna collecting chips from the tables to count and hand over to the administrator, who would then redistribute them after tallying up the night's earnings.

His Wingless Angel

His Wingless Angel

"Why did you call me that?" Amara asked, still sitting on Damascus's lap. He had called her angel twice and she wondered at its meaning. It was Damascus's turn to look slightly embarrassed. He looked away for a moment at the trees that surrounded them. "After my accident and I found out that you weren’t a Dragon, I thought of you as my wingless angel," he said. His gaze returned to her. Amara smiled at the nickname and decided that she in fact liked it when he called her that. "You don't mind, do you?" Damascus asked and Amara shook her head in answer.

For Her, He Cut Off His Son’s Legs

For Her, He Cut Off His Son’s Legs

“Mr. Smith, have you made your choice? If you take any longer, this beauty will be ours.” “Don’t you dare touch her!” Xavier’s voice was a furious roar, but there was no response from the other end. The call disconnected. The beeping of the dead line filled the room. I was even more devastated than he was. I wanted to plead but before I could, he was already moving. Without hesitation, he strode to the table and picked up the cleaver. His voice was ice-cold. “I’m sorry, Summer. Wendy and I grew up together. I can’t just let her suffer.

Tasting Summer

Tasting Summer

Summer POV “I don’t have to go with you… I mean he’s your boyfriend and your Dad.” I glared at her. She smiled and popped the driver’s door open. We’re going down together, I thought. Close to twenty betas were wandering around Ezra’s property. Dad, Ezra and Hunter stood by the front door. Hunter was baiting Ezra which was making things worse. “Summer,” Ezra ground out. His rage quickly died when he took me in. “What the hell are you wearing?!”

Wingless and Beautiful

Wingless and Beautiful

a boy, named Don Winston, called me loud enough for everybody at Burger Inn to turn to my direction. I drew deep breaths. One. Two. Three. For the past week, they had been calling me BG. It stood for Burger Girl. I couldn’t complain. I was a burger girl. And being a Burger Girl meant I was able to save some money for college. “Hey BG!” Don Winston called again. “Couldn’t you get here any faster?” “Just a minute,” I said cheerfully. I do have to keep up the appearances. A minute later, I served their orders.

Ice
Beautiful love story, one of the most unique plots I’ve read so far with. Very touching & emotional but still realistic. Also it’s rare plotpoint that Hero & heroine are each other’s firsts. Technically well-written - no grammatical errors! Wish there were more Hero’s POV, but loved it anyway.

Wow, truly beautiful story. Started out fast and kept improving. Cried a lot in the beginning (had to pause until I calmed down). Also, laughed at times. The characters were very mature and I’m glad Hunter and Alice were able to overcome the trauma in their lives. Well written. Worth reading.

Wings Of Change

Wings Of Change

** Aria drove all the way to the island where the bar is located. The bar happens to be a normal zone where people go out with friends to drink during the day but at night_it's a different ball game. Housing all the night crawler in Lagos who like to party from dusk till dawn. Aria had to park at the far end of the parking space due to how crazily parked the place was. She looked herself over in the rearview mirror, making sure her makeup was still in tact before she got down and adjusted her gown a bit before walking towards the entrance.
