Then she let go of me and stood beside me with a corner smile, confident, she made a simple motion with her hand and that reddish shape spread further, like wings, but not just any wings, they were Dragon wings. As the wings passed through the shadows and places a bluish flame appeared and began to burn everything that wasn't solid. I could tell the shadows were writhing and screaming, they were screams of agony as they were consumed, the runes of protection disappeared and the magic that was in the place dissipated, but these flames didn't hit us, it was as if the people who were with me were immune to them.

I summoned my wings, and red wings flapped on my back as my body rose in the air and out of the hell of fire. Lucien’s eyes widened at the sight of me as he staggered backward and sat up. He built a barrier between him and me, but I watched as he inched backward on his ass as I slowly walked toward him. My hands were raised with my palms up, and fire emitted from them, but in between them, shards of big thorn-like spikes were dancing around.

It stopped at the entrance as if there was a glass stopping it. I looked around and the fire was everywhere. But it didn't burn me. It actually moved out of my path as I walked. Some of it danced along my skin as if welcoming me to its den. I looked up and spun around in a circle. There was no way out. I stood there trying to think of anything. Again I couldn’t think clearly. All of sudden a fiery figure rose up in front of me. It was a feminine figure with wings. It seemed to be stretching like it had been stuck in a small space.

Yet again, none responded to him. "Nevea, love, hang in there. I'll take you out." He scooped her body, carrying her in a bridal style. The moment he spun around, a big frame on the first floor made his breath stuck in his throat. "Wings." Inside the frame were beautiful white wings. It blended perfectly with the rest of the wall decoration that he completely missed the first time he saw it. As if everything wasn't enough, fire ate the wings away. At the same time, Nevea's cry of agony then infiltrated Zach's senses. Words formed under the frame, making his jaw harden.

Esmeray held her forearm up, examining the intricate tattoo that adorned her skin. The tattoo depicted a majestic wolf, its eyes fierce and determined, surrounded by swirling patterns that seemed to dance with a life of their own. The lines were bold and precise, giving the impression of strength and resilience. “This tattoo is so unique,” Esmeray remarked, tracing her fingers over the contours of the design. “I’ve always felt a connection to it, but I never knew why.”
