The Wrong Vow, My Perfect Match

The Wrong Vow, My Perfect Match

The city moved at a gentler pace. People bundled in coats hurried through streets. Children built imperfect snowmen. Cars crawled cautiously through intersections. Life continued. Beautifully ordinary. Later that afternoon, Ama found herself walking home alone. Fresh snow crunched beneath her boots. The air carried that unique winter stillness. Not silence. A quieter version of the world. She passed a bookstore. Then stopped. A display window had caught her attention. New releases. Classic novels. Poetry collections. Stories. So many stories. Each one beginning with a choice.

Rejected Me Once, Never Fool Me Twice

Rejected Me Once, Never Fool Me Twice

I just don’t care. Winter listens. Sometimes with tears in her eyes. She starts bringing a second blanket. She brings books. She even offers—tentatively—to ask her father if I can be moved to a less damp cell. And the more I pretend to unravel, the closer she draws. Her wolf is obsessed with mine. I feel the pull every time she comes close. My own wolf snarls beneath the surface, but I keep it caged. I don’t give in. This isn’t about instinct. It’s about war.

DON'T BULLY ME, ALPHA

DON'T BULLY ME, ALPHA

He looked at me dead in the eye and directed the lyrics towards me and they stung so bad ! Guilt, remorse, anger, sadness, etc had started to replace my previous excitement and it seemed as if my song choice had back fired at me when he compared his cold heart to winter and stated that it shall remain cold towards me just like winter would obstinately stay even in the month of August ! He mentioned that his heart could even work as a “Snowpiercer” in the freaking “winter” and that it shall remain so for a long running time. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

Mated to the Alpha King

Mated to the Alpha King

And maybe that was its own kind of communication, its own way of staying connected to something real and warm and alive when everything else felt cold and broken. Winter closed her eyes and let sleep take her, her last thought a fragmented prayer that the beast would still be breathing when she returned.

Christmas in ashes

Christmas in ashes

I crawl backward until my spine hits the wall again. He found the window. He found me.And he wasn’t even trying. A harsh wind howls outside. Then Ruby’s scream cuts through the night. My heart stops. “RUBY!” No answer.Just wind.Just snow.Just the Winter King’s promise burning in my mind like a brand: Soon.

The Heart That Turned Cold

The Heart That Turned Cold

Dot had been the only thing tethering me to something real and warm through countless lonely nights. And now, that witch's evil had incinerated the last dregs of hope in this household. This was no accident. That woman meant to kill my beloved companion. I slowly raised my head and looked at Yvonne. This wasn't the woman I knew. Perhaps there was a monster hiding underneath her human skin, but it took me Dot's death to finally see it. The girl I knew, who used to stand under a tree just to feed stray cats, was long dead.

A Heart No Longer Waiting

A Heart No Longer Waiting

No matter what, always be there when she looks back. ... Page after page, he read each note out loud. When he reached the last one, he let out a quiet chuckle. "Yara, winning your heart was so hard. Good thing I never gave up." The way he looked at her—serious, certain—caught her off guard. He really had done all this for her. If she hadn't heard him say those words herself, she might've believed it. Might've thought the Mateo standing in front of her wasn't the same man who had spent years loving someone else behind her back.

Winter

Winter

It hadn’t felt that cold earlier. Laying my head back against the window, I couldn’t even feel excited about the snow. It was my favorite but all I could do was close my eyes and wish that everything would just go away. ‘Winter, don’t give up. Wake up. Stay strong. Please. He’s coming, Winter. Don’t worry, he’s coming for you.’

Though i wish there was a better ending, i truly enjoyed this read. It kept me engaged and curious about the characters. It had a storyline that naturally flowed and kept you surprised at each turn. Super excited to read more of this author’s work

The She Wolf's Heart

The She Wolf's Heart

One of the most assertive parts of the human body is the heart. It has a way of choosing what it wants without caring what the consequences are. It gets worse when the heart is empowered by a superpower. That is the position Anya finds herself in. It’s another weekend and Anya, still smarting from last weekend’s rendezvous at the forest with the hunters, refused to meet up with the pack for the usual weekend meetings. She called Vincent to inform him that she won’t be present. She also informed her colleague, Caleb, to be on the same page with her. She had actually told Caleb half the truth when he asked her why she was avoiding the meeting.

Willow's Heart

Willow's Heart

I ramble off and just stare at the ground but Alpha Henry pulls me into a warm embrace. “I think my son will come around. Just give him time.” Looking around at the startled and curious faces of the rest of our pack I feel sick. “Even if he accepts me, they never will, Alpha” “If my son is Alpha, and he accepts you, the pack has no choice. You may have omega blood, but there is something different about you. You remind me of my wife in that way, she was a glorious warrior.” I shrug and say “Then I will stay. But one month only. I can only handle my heart breaking for so long. Sasha is still howling her sadness in my head. She has waited years for him, as have I.”
