I sighed. I turned to the first story and started reading. I read story after story. Some were interesting, some were familiar, some were bizarre. Then, more than halfway through the book, I found it. The very first line read, "There once was a young girl. Her wolf had no name." It was titled, 'Child of Stars', kind of fitting since my Dad's wolf is Starfire. My wolf chimed in with her usual pessimism, 'It won't help.'

He then plops down , a bit away from the fire , and lays his back against a leap of hay that stands against the wooden wall. Though it may sound uncomfortable , he looks absolutely comfortable and at peace right there where he is. “Look at it! All round and crispy-looking.” He rubbed a hand over his face And then….there it was…a streak of silver shot across the night sky, quick and delicate, like the universe blinking. “Oh my goodness!” I gasped, flinging my arms dramatically toward the sky. “It’s a wishing star! Make a wish!” I clasped my hands together tightly, my eyes closing with theatrical flair as I tilted my face to the heavens. My voice dropped into something quiet, something almost reverent. “Please,” I whispered, “take me away from this messed up life.”

She said and he put his hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "I'm sure it'll work but we have to try it first." Alpha Nicholas said and Luna Nevaeh finally put the baby down in his cradle. Alpha Nicholas dropped the book on the bedside table and they both placed their hand on it before exchanging glances, as if seeking permission to proceed or not. They opened the book together and exactly the same thing which had happened to Kayden and I and Hendrick and Aurelia, happened to both of them. The feeling she has is overwhelming. “Tomorrow is a new day. You have just made your first wish. Clearly, this means so much for you.”

Stars pierced the mantle of night and Adrienne tried to lo-cate the Big Dipper when suddenly a small, bright star seemed to shiver, then plummeted from the sky. "Look!" she said excitedly. "A falling star!" Hawk surged to his feet. "Whatever you do, don't wish, lass." She turned a pure, glowing smile his way, and it dazzled him so completely that for a moment he couldn't think. "Why ever not, Hawk?" "They come true," he finally managed. Her gaze fled back to the falling star. Adrienne held her breath and wished with all her might. Please let something very good happen to me soon. Please! Unable to say the words even beneath her breath, she willed her vision to the stars.

One evening, Cassie found him pacing with her on his shoulder. “She only sleeps if I sing to her.” Cassie smiled. “She trusts your voice.” “She is my voice,” he whispered. “Everything I’ve ever said, tried to build, it all makes sense now.” Grace started writing a book for Nova. Make a wish!!!!” Xavier chimed. I closed my eyes and quietly made my own wish. “So, what did you wish?” Xavier asked instantly right after I opened my eyes denoting the fact that I’m done with my wish.
