Despite the moon that was sitting bright up in the sky, lightning and thunder kept rumbling. The black witch sat on the rug with lit candles around her, forming a circle. She stared into the space with a short scepter on the ground and some weird looking beads. The globe ball was also placed in between my folded legs as she held a long bead that she used in her incantations. “Hocus pocus… Alakazam” She mumbled, but the furious looking man who stood beside her, banged his fist on the table making her flinch and snap her eyes open.

"The game difficulty has been upgraded. Only high-level ghosts may remain in Happy Home. Mid-level ghosts must evacuate the residential complex immediately." The fatal mechanical voice echoed throughout the entire building. "What?!" Nicole couldn't help but scream. Granny Rosa was the only high-level ghost they could currently access. Without her as a messenger, they would all die here without question. My father and brother's expressions flickered with panic as they paced back and forth, unable to find a way out.

Winter POV The pack grounds never looked like this before. Strings of orange lanterns hung between the trees, glowing like small captured suns. The scent of roasted corn and caramel filled the air, blending with the faint musk of wolves in human skin. Children ran past in tiny costumes, miniature witches with glitter-painted faces, little wolves wearing fuzzy ears that looked too big for their heads. Laughter rolled through the clearing like music. It was the annual Crescent Moon Halloween Fair, a tradition my mother insisted we keep every year. But this time, everything felt different. She did not know if she dreamed truly until she came and found me. Like me, she believes that something will come to Havermouth. It is a place of power, on a ley line between two ancient monuments to the goddess, home to both werewolves, witches and vampires, with a significant history of unusual events such as the disappearance of the original Havers homestead’s population…”

When I woke up, I was in an underground cell chained with silver, there was no means of escaping. I really wanted to see the face of my kidnapper. Who would dare attack an Alpha werewolf? I tried escaping from the chains, but they would not bulge and I was getting weaker and weaker. It was at that moment that I prayed for a miracle from the Moon Goddess if she would listen to my prayers. It wasn't long before the door rattled, and I was hopeful that it was someone who would rescue me. I thought wrong. It was my mate's Father, the leader of the witches coven. I was surprised to see he was behind my kidnapping.
